RP said his passion is still football, but he will listen to any real offers & make up his mind then. Sounds like he finally got his shite together.
Could not agree more.
His attitude on the show was impressive..he was polite and grateful....Everyone was joking around.. when Wakefield was giving him instruction, he looked him in the eye and responded with "Yes, sir".. seemed genuine and professional, spending time with the NY Giants apparently helped him tremendously

I will have to go see him pitch. Hope he makes the big league club.

Reggie Robinson and Jerel Meyers knew he had it in him.

All SEC QB after a decade of terrible ones and people still hate the guy. LSU fans are dumber than any other.

If you are talking to me, I don't hate him. He was all SEC in a year when he was a 50 percent passer had 17 TDs and 15 Ints. Just because you were All SEC doesn't mean you were Tommy Hodson. You likely just heard he was All SEC and assumed he lit it on fire.
To all the "he was an All SEC QB" guys, he was also a career 49% passer. Don't hate him, but know about him.

I went to every game he played in. I know about him. But after a decade of terrible QBs we finally get a decent one. All SEC is still All SEC. He can't help the competition he was up against for that. I'd take him in a heartbeat over anyone we have had since 2007.

I am not denigrating the man when I tell you this, he has a -10 TD/INT ratio. He didn't make any media's all SEC team (first, second, or HM), only the coaches team. Casey Clausen, Rex Grossman, Jesse Palmer, Ben Leard, and arguably Wayne Madkin and Romaro Miller had better seasons than he did. That being said, he threw for a lot of yards. He had an above average YPA that year. There were good things to like about it. It isn't cut and dry he was awesome because first team is first team, like you say. As a matter of fact, one could easily have had both Florida QBs first and second team, and it would have probably been the correct result.
Go ahead and decide for yourself.

I don't need to decide. It was already decided. The guy was our best QB in over a decade and he got nothing but hate. JR got the same treatment 5 years later for being the best QB in our history. LSU fans hate QBs.

I didn't hate Josh Booty, I just didn't like him. He and Peyton Manning were graduating in the same year from high school. Josh verbally committed to
LSU thus Peyton committed to Tennessee after hearing that Josh had decided on LSU. That may be a false rumor, I don't know.
What I do know is that things weren't working out for Josh as he had planned with the Marlins. He wanted LSU to buy out his contract with the Marlins and he would come quarterback at LSU. NCAA rules would not allow LSU to do that. I think Josh was just full of himself.
I do know that when he was quarterback, for some reason the line would not block for him like they did for Rohan Davey (I believe that is right).
The Tigers mad a great comeback in the 2nd half of the Peach Bowl after being down at the half.
Josh had played the 1st half and Rohan took over at the start of the 3rd quarter. LSU won that Peach Bowl.
