How is it luck? He has a chance to be a lottery pick next year. Was a late 1st at best this year. He made a decision to come back, improve his offensive game and overall game, and he will benefit from that at next years draft.

Nothing lucky about a player choosing to stay and get better instead of going to the draft after 1 year. That player made a decision.

We are glad and thankful he came back, but its not luck.

LSU had nothing to do with him deciding to stay. And he's greAt but he's not a guaranteed lottery pick. He stayed because he didn't project as high at first with all the talent in this years draft.

LSU got lucky the talent was so deep In this years draft forcing him to stay. He is good enough to be a first rounder right now but Hh wouldn't have been a lottery pick this year.

He very easily could have declared. Lucky that he didn't

He was a 15-20 pick in the 1st round at worst, IMO.
1st round is guaranteed $$$

Nurkic (Bosnia), Caboclo (Brazil), and Saric (Croatia) all get picked over him if he is in the draft??? Let's throw Young of Kentucky into the mix... O'Bryant was selected with the 6th pick in the second round by the team that has some young forwards and selected Parker at 2.... I am pretty sure that Mickey goes 6 draft picks ahead of him as an absolute drop bottom floor.

But hey, I hope he does improve his draft and goes top 10 next year as a reward for staying!

I think "Lucky" is the wrong word. Grateful makes more sense and we all should be excited about his last year here and the improvement of the entire team.

yes

some teams draft foreigners they know arent coming over now so they can hold their draft rights but not have to pay them

Look bro. In today's world luck is needed for anything to go in in your favor. Anything. The birth of a perfectly healthy child. Or Jordan Mickey gracing LSU with his talent for one more year. Luck was definitely involved in some way
