If he doesn't break curfew, he is golden. He can blame no one but himself. On top of that, what does he bring to the table? He is a decent QB...that is all. Why stick your head out for "OK" talent. He has proven time and time again he is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Stupid, stupid, stupid decision.

was Drew Bledsoe still more qualified to play over his former back-up, Tom Brady, after he returned from injured reserve?

Must have been. No coach could ever misevaluate talent. Certainly not one as intelligent as Les Miles.

why not? An entire coaching staff at LSU thought so

I doubt that. Anyone with two eyes and a view of our games could tell JJ was not a major college QB.

I am pretty sure Miles could tell too, but he is one stubborn dude. His decision not to make the obvious change is a total mystery.

so you're telling me take him back if he was the reigning Heisman Trophy winner but not if he's an average QB?

I think this is Miles' Achilles Heel as a coach. His loyalty and affection for his players seem to override what are, in effect, business decisions.

whats so funny? am i missing something? He has NOT been charged, just arrested on suspicion

serious question.. do you really think that les has no idea about what really happened in that parking lot?

all accounts of les miles describe him as a kind/fair man, and a player's coach. jj is suspended for a reason, bud.

I'm trying to decide what makes me sicker. A douchebag getting his arse whipped, the calling foul, or JJ's antee playing the race card.

What about a douchebag getting his arse whipped by a bunch of thugs and kicked on the ground because he stood up for a stranger getting whipped by said thugs?

He's suspended bc he was arrested on a felony. I understand that. LSU had to suspend him. My problem is with the BRPD. 2nd degree battery and DNA swabs, seizing 49 pair of shoes for a bar fight? First time hearing that one. they over policed the whole thing. he should've been charged with simple battery same as wing was.(misdemeanor)

No one wants to see JJ return more tha LES! That is his boy. He about screwed up JL and yet needed him last yr to save his butt. Then gives him garbage time in the bowl game last yr. I watch Les as he talks about LEE and trust me, this is killing Les.

Did Tom Brady set a record for throwing pick 6s in his 1st season starting? Did he blow his chance to get his starting job back by having a horrible game against La Tech? Did Lee lead us to a championship his 1st season starting?

not really, offense currently running better with the former backup...

Define better. Last 5 games of 2010 we averaged 36 points and 387 yards of offense. We are averaging 36 points and 344 yards of offense this year.

I dont think she could have handled it much worse. Lsu, miles and lee should have never come out of her mouth. If she wants to bitch about brpd, district attorney or andrew that is fine. Lsu and miles' hands are tied. You do not play a player who was arrested and charged with a felony. I would like to see one time a school was playing someone with a felony charge hanging over their head.

And to even bring up the naacp and his civil rights being violated is asinine with johns being in the same boat as him. It makes it look like it is all about him and does nothing to help him but hurts the team, the university, and the state. I guess it is all about jj. And another thing about bringing up miles name when talking about him being treated unfairly, NO ONE from the very beginning of time till this hour of this day has ever been treated more fairly than jj by les miles.

wow, good stuff man.

all opinions are valid. rational logic, imo, points to there being some fire behind the smoke.

i would bet every cent i own that the players came clean to les. i'd think that if jj were innocent, there would be more positivity on the subject coming out of the miles camp. the current silence/upheld suspension does not bode well for the defense, and this is why unglesby is attacking that point relentlessly. he gets brought in to get people off the hook, and a reinstatement for jj is his first order of business. it's simple posturing, and totally expected.

So you're saying that the white man is keeping JJ down because he's black or that the fans are glad he's being kept down cause he's black? I'm confused.

IMHO I think the law man is keeping him down because he has pending felony charge and the fans are glad he's being kept down because he's just not a good QB.

DO you really believe that if he were a great QB that the fans wouldn't be begging to have him back? So if anything, he's being kept down cause he sucks, not because he's black. I'd call in the National Association for Below Average Quarterbacks. Maybe they can help.

wow!!! I can't believe what I'm reading on this board. Calling a family member a bitch bc she's speaking out for her nephew. NAACP a racist group? wtf? they're one of the reasons we have black people @ LSU. for the record, I was calling for JJ head last year. Lee had every chance to earn the job last year and in the off season. Lee is doing a good job this year. What if this happened to Patrick Peterson last year? Would everyone say don't bring him back? If we were 0-3,
it would be a ton of pressure on LSU to bring him back. It's a shame that people would not want him back if he's Innocent and wrongly accused because they think that it will interfere with the chemistry.JJ hasn't even been charge with a crime. LSU hands are tied and BRPD frickED this up, and blew it out of proportion.

this is good shite too. Now i am

I really do think he that he should and will be allowed back.
