JL's first two games at home against Div. 1AA team in good weather and N. Texas.
Ummm....actually his first major playing time came against Auburn ON THE ROAD and he won that game for us.

Dickson getting held saved his arse, or that would've been a pick.
Hard to say. Dickson would have been right where the ball was. The pass wasn't overthrown if Dickson wasn't held up. so it would have been Dickson fighting a safety for the ball. 50/50 chance it would have been a TD.

Ball was still overthrown by at least 5 yards.

All I'm saying is that you wouldn't be willing to give Lee a shot if we're losing games b/c JJ can't read the defenses and/or be accurate with his passes to develop a passing threat?
careful stache... there are a couple assholes in this thread thatll have you branded as david duke you keep on making statements like that.

the pass blocking has been better than the run blocking....
Jefferson holds the ball too long. Theres nothing more to it.

Or are you saying give Chris Garrett a chance? Personally, I believe Garrett's the most true pocket passer on the team. He's gonna be special in 3 years or so.
I am excited about Chris Garrett, very much so.
I think you are a little premature in passing judgment on JJ's throwing ability and his leadership ability.

But at this point, criticisms of JJ are not really fair given the circumstances. Let's see how he performs in the next couple of games and then compare.
I'm not criticizing him, I think he has done well considering the circumstances. However, we have to have SOMETHING we can go to and I haven't seen it yet.

The frick race got to do with it?
If JJ can't get a passing game going, it's time to give someone else a shot. Be that Lee, Shepard, or Garrett. I really don't give a shite.
One thing I do know, is that this current gimmick of an offense will get butt fricked until we develop a passing game that includes more than a curl route.
I understand not giving JJ too much to read, but damn trust him a little bit.

Like I've been saying before the season started, for some "fans" here, JJ will have the smallest margin for error of any Tiger QB in recent memory.
All of this criticism for a sophomore QB starting only his 5th game.
All of this criticism for a sophomore QB who is now 2-0 on the season--both against BCS opponents.
JJ could lead the offense to 40 points a game and it still wouldn't be enough for some "fans".
They just don't like the idea of someone like Jordan Jefferson starting for LSU.
Period.

So I'm assuming you'll take JL's 2 INT per game average + his inability to make short touch passes + his inability to scramble to make plays over JJ
clearly JL is only capeable of repeating last years stats this year if he plays... hell everybody knows that.
How stupid can some of you actually be?

If he did that I would jizz my pants and be perfectly fine.

I'm not passing judgment on his passing ability. I'm just saying so far we don't have a passing game with him. Coaches need to give him a shot. If he's good, then AWESOME. If not, someone else's turn. That's all I'm saying.
As far as leadership, unless I"m in the huddle I can't comment on that.

listen bt i like lee alot but he didnt improve on his decision making over the summer according to the stats coming from the scrimmages. so why would u advocate giving him another chance?
why not use the next 2 games to get jj better? seems to me thats the best thing to do.
and like it or not u are advocating a qb change when we r 2-0 and or qb has played well, not great but good. get over it, its not gonna happen.

This, plus his Dizzy dean windup= not much time to get the throw to the receivers.

True, Hatch started the first two home games. JL did win the Auburn game and then proceeded to develop a tendency to throw pick 6s.
I think JL lost a lot of confidence last year. Hopefully he will get it back. I think he has good potential, but he will have to earn his spot back. I also don't think we have seen enough of JJ in reasonably normal circumstances to form the conclusion that he can't get it done.
