WE still need to develop a vertical passing game, and right now it just isn't there
Ummm... he did start out shaky on longer passes but after the ragged start (only on longer passes) finished with some excellent medium range passes.

Ill say it,.. I wish they would give JL another shot.
If he's learned form last yrs mistakes... boom.
If not, JJ is right there.
To me it just doestn seem that we have an identity on offense.
Fuking gimmiky.
We have 5 wides NUMEROUS times during the game and we have trouble commpleting passes that over 8 yrds.
FWIW, Recievers so far have made JJ look better than JJ has made himself look.
we are 2-0 you so called "lsu fan" (

J lee isnt going to see the field even if he is probably the better passer when not having so many fricken rules thrown his way by crowton and mile.

lol dont always agree with him, but he was right about u being a jl homer. and no its not one and done but your saying bench the started who has played extremely well for somebody that threw 16ints last year and constantly put the team in bad positions. Yes we scored a lot of points but we had to because we were playing catch up.
JJ has done zero to lose the job. give the jl shite up.

He had a bomb to LaFell in the GT game that got called back not his fault. We don't need to go deep that often, besides it takes a lot more development than you think to hit the guys on the money down field.
One pass in 4 games now. I'm not saying he won't improve or doesn't have the potential but the fact that he doesn't look any better after a summer to work on it is worrisome.

Although JJ's completion percentage is encouraging, the schematic problem is that so many of his throws are short and underneath. For example, at one point, he completed three passes to LaFell for -3 yards or so!

1st Vandy dropped their safties and corners
second Vandy is very good and will beat most sec teams.
Jl threw pick sixes on short pass plays The first pick six against GA and the pick six against aub were both short passes.
JL is not a div 1 qb.
Did you notice that when jj got hurt Shep came in.

Dickson was open and even waved his hand to signal he was open after the hold. JJ didn't even release the ball until after Dickson waved. It was poorly thrown. Pass to RJ...he had to come back on it. The first pass to LaFell at his feet. TD to LaFell last week...low.
The ball was perfectly thrown to Dickson.. good pass.
RJ did have to come back for a ball. And his first pass to Lafell was at his feet. The TD to Lafell last week was caught and was a routine catch, that's all that matters.
As I said.. this thread would not be made if Dickson was not held. How do you know if he has improved or not based on the small sample we have to look at?

JL limits the shite out of our offense.

When will the O-line start pass protecting for JJ?
That's what I'd like to know.

JJ had someone in his face and bumping him at the throw all night. Throwing down field would just give the pressure more time to sack him. Glad the coaches called a better game then some of the people here.

How is it perfectly thrown if it was made after the hold when Dickson was open (even waving his hand to call for the ball) and it was still overthrown?

my question is with the bad online play bt what in the hell makes you think jl would have had time to complete longer pass plays? if jl plays we give up atleast 5 sacks tonight and prolly 8.
get over your obsession with jl. I was a big jl guy but he didnt get it done, simple as that.

Watch the replay. The hold occurred, Dickson broke it and waved his arm then JJ threw.
