I wonder how much the lawsuit played into the decision, if at all.

An UDFA that still has a lawsuit hanging over his head. . .

You either hate Maximus or you put too much stock into what a college QB has actually accomplished in life. Which is it?

(Honestly asking since I normally don't disagree w/ you on much)

Edit for typo.

He should consider a position change. Remember, Marcus Randall ended up on the Titans 53 man roster as a Linebacker for God's sake.

I don't wish bad upon the kid, but it's obvious his football future is not at the QB spot. He's an ATH, not a QB.

Neither. I was sarcastically repeating what other posters had replied before.

Look at my prior post a few above that.

This is excellent news. Now he is free for the Saints to pick him up.

C'mon Roaad, it was zero percent. Jefferson had no shot at the NFL.

This--a position change-- is what I was thinking would be Jefferson's only chance to make it in the NFL.

I wonder if anyone with the Bucs considered giving him a look at a different position or if he told them he wanted to just try out at QB.

He probably would not have made it at another position, but might have lasted longer.

The admins should be moving/deleting these threads. Has nothing to do with LSU anymore. Anything to generate traffic. JJ has made TD some $.

Roaad has a serious hard on for JJ.

He, among others, will make excuses for that pathetic QB all day.

It's called denial, I guess.

I don't. I hope he gets another chance somewhere and succeeds. It's a shame that fans of LSU would mock and jeer a former LSU player. JJ did his best for LSU and even though his best was not good enough, I appreciate his effort. Good luck to you JJ.

Remembered as the QB who cost LSU a BSC title.

Just as Miles will remembered as the coach who cost LSU a BCS title.

Sad.
