How do you want him to improve unless he gets AB’s?

Nope, you’re wrong but he needs to learn how to recognize both because that is what he will see the most from here on out.

I’ve seen him walk on all sliders recently and he wouldn’t have had a chance of doing that at the beginning of the year

Wrong.

A slider is a slider.
A curve is a curve.
One slides, the other curves.

However, they are both offspeed pitches.

You’re welcome

It depends on how each pitch identifies. The identification process can be pre pitch, during pitch, or even post pitch and game. The pitch can also change its identification at anytime.

Both pitches are classified as a breaking pitch. It’s the breaking direction that is different between the two pitches.

i’ve seen sliders with more curve/drop than curveballs. it’s really interchangeable at this point.
