You’re making shite up because you’re of low intelligence and are highly emotional. You’re also incredibly boring and childish so go ahead and keep melting, broke boy.

He would play close games and never call a timeout. His only coaching some games was chanting ‘defense..defense…’ with the fans.

The SEC in the 1990s had 3 national champs, appeared in 5 national championship games, had 9 final 4 appearances by 4 different schools.
First of all, your numbers are inaccurate. Arkansas was not in the SEC until 1990, not the 89-90 season.

Kentucky
- 3 final 4s
- 2 national title games
- 2 national titles

Arkansas (as an SEC school)
- 2 final 4s
- 2 national title games
- 1 national title

Florida
- 1 final 4

Mississippi State
- 1 final 4

7 final 4s
4 national title appearances
3 national titles

Second of all, a top heavy conference =/= elite conference. Kentucky and Arkansas were very good in the 90s. State and UF had one off seasons. In the 90s, the SEC averaged less than 5 teams per season making into the tournament. The SEC has had 8 the last two years, 14 are projected to get in this year.

It is the deepest any league has been maybe ever?

The joke used to be "what's the play call when Johnny stares blankly out on the court with his arms folded and blinks - we seem to run that play alot"!

Your information is also incorrect. So you take away Arkansas 1990 final 4, my mistake, it still leaves 8 appearances. Kentucky made 4 final 4s not 3, 1993,1996,1997,1998. Still that era was way more accomplished than this era and you’re wrong about it being top heavy. Alabama had very good teams throughout from Robinson, Sprewell and Horrys teams to the Caffey, Rogers and Mcdyess teams. LSU was an SEC contender with Shaq’s years then the year after was still a tourney team. Vandy had a top 10 team and other good teams, Florida wasn’t a 1 off, Donovan’s first good team was in the 90s, Auburn had their SEC title team in the 90s, tubby Smith and UGA had the teams with Claxton and Strong who got to the tourney, South Carolina had a good run with a 1 seeded top 10 finish and multiple tourney teams, State didn’t just have the 1 year they made the sweet 16 around the sane time in another year.
A much more competitive league with better players and teams than now. Youre basing your argument off of this season which has more to do with the rest of the country being down than the SEC being as good as you think.

Alabama made the tourney 5 times
LSU made teh tourney 3 times
Florida made the tourney 3 times
Auburn made the tourney 1 time
UGA made the tournament 3 times
Vanderbilt made the tournament 3 times
South Carolina made the tournament 2 times

The SEC was 4th in bids by conference in the 90s. The SEC, including this year, will have had the most of any conference since 2019 by a good margin. in the 90s, the SEC had 53 total bids in 10 years. Including this year, since 2019 (2020 doesn't count for obvious reasons) the SEC will be at about 48-50 bids in 5 years.

A bunch of teams making the tournament 30% of the time does not mean the conference was as good as it is today. You're doing your typical, dishonest, "the old days were better and you're an idiot" argument. As usual, you're wrong.

Sure, the SEC might have had a better top end and a couple more stars in the 90s, but top to bottom, and compared to the rest of the country (what you knew the argument was about) it's not even close. And if we go by the last 10 years, the SEC has better stars now than the 90s as well. Also, as you, and pretty much everyone knows, the best team in the country often does not win the mens basketball national title. UCONN the last two years is more the exception than the rule.

No point in arguing this further because you're incapable of seeing this through an objective lens.

Well that’s a nice deflection but comparing it to other conferences of the time isn’t exactly comparing the two SEC eras and using one season to represent an era is also not “objective”. Sorry but 2 final 4s doesn’t surpass 8, plus 5 natty games and 3 titles.

Those are examples of weak or disingenuous arguments which you and those like you commonly make. Mocking them as an attempt to shield yourself from them is an admission of guilt.

Or maybe you’re delusional & just call people liars when they are actually telling the truth. It’s a weird schtick

It really is pretty odd. He automatically attributes any differing viewpoint to the made up story in his head that anyone who disagrees with him slobbers mcmahon. It's just not accurate but he can't help himself every fricking time.
