the catcher was his natural position and if u can play short, u can handle second.

dean not a natural infielder

Dean won't be at 1base when that juco 1st baseman gets here. Dude is a stud!!!

PM will probably put Koeneman at DH just to ensure Dean has a spot in the field

Well from what I've heard this dude not only hits but has a fantastic glove for a first baseman. PM has always said he would play the player who is best, as shown this season.

look PM is gonna do whatever it takes to make sure Dean is a Tiger next season. He has told me and the media on several occasions that he wants Dean at first next year

Basically what I'm saying is if Dean returns and Koeneman impresses at first base I think Dean would end back up at dh. You can't promise a kid a position if there is someone better. Not saying this kid is better than Dean but hypothetically if it happened.

i hear that

but i think dean would get the first crack at 1B...PM has said if dean comes back, he will play 1B, i highly doubt he breaks his promise

now thats not to say this new guy doesnt beat out dean...

So you think he would be more loyal to a player than his team and his school? You always play the better guy, I don't care what PM is promising him right now, that is not my point. When the season comes and if and I'm saying IF Koeneman is better Koeneman will play.

exactly what I'm trying to say. Of course Dean will have the upper hand going in to the season but if he gets beat out, welllll.....

We are forgetting that Dean has a decent glove he just isnt that fast which hurt him sometimes in the outfield. Koeneman's bat will be in the lineup which I think will matter the most in the long run

i know, but its not like putting him at catcher or SS

1B isnt the hardest of positions...dean's a baseball player, im sure he could pick it up

I didnt say that at all. I'm going by what I have heard direct from PM's mouth: If Dean stays he is playing first.

He wont be a liability like you are making him out to be

A liability? where the hell did I say that?! I'm saying Koeneman is a Matt Clark with the potential to be a gold glove one day.

how about you actually watch Koeneman play a game before you make him out to be the second coming

So let me get this straight...of course remember this is all HYPOTHETICAL. You are saying that if Koeneman comes in and is obviously a better player and first baseman than Dean you would keep Dean at first base because of a promise you made with him at the end of last season? That's just fricking stupid.

Dude, have you read anything I've posted the last two pages? That is what I have posted about 10 times and you kept saying, "PM made a promise to Dean he will be the first base this season"

ETA: I know why I don't venture over here much any more...rantards
