Just watched the highlights to that 2004 Florida game and didn't realize Jamarcus essentially threw two pick 6's in the first quarter. Both of JR's game at the swamp were terrible

I've been following TD for several years and can count on one hand how many times I've seen the name Joseph Addai mentioned.

He was a Colt when this board really got off the ground.

Addai is a great tiger. Doesn’t get talked about a lot but he’ll always be appreciated.

My bad. I think you're right. Thought I remembered Joey, but think I was off.
We've been talking plenty of good about Joe & Joseph Addai, you’ve been looking for “Joey Addai” threads.

I think you owe everyone here a sincere apology.

And don’t ask what Ram-Ram Dardar has been up to.

Stud!!

I remember his first run. Or at least the first one I remember. We were getting embarrassed by VT in Virginia in like 3rd or 4th quarter down like 14-0 or something. And this dude's runs into field I'm like wtf who is this.. why do we have a freshman in rn? Our RB been getting tackled on first contact and never made it around the corner. Then some freshman never heard of him and he actually get a carry. He runs right up the gut and is met at LOS by a 300lb DT! Lmfao this BAMF throws this dude on the ground with a stiff arm and runs like 3 yards.

I don't think he got another carry and I was so pissed I wanted more of this guy. I don't think he rally got many carries all year until his sophomore year I was pissed I was like we got a frickin freshman throwing 300lb lineman around get him in!

Lol addai, D. Davis, hill are some of my favorite all time lsu players.

I really thought toefield was gonna be a solid pro.

To be fair, Toe was never the same after his ACL tear in the 01 SECCG. He put on a ton of weight in the league to compensate for the speed he lost after that.

He was unfortunately in the window just before recovery outcomes got much better for that injury.

Your memory about Addai reminds me of my first impression from Skyler Green in 2002.

Dude took a quit hitter straight down the middle of the field for an 80 yard TD against Arkansas. He was a fricking blur on that play.

Not sure he had even seen an offensive snap all season before that

Great unselfish, hard nosed football player. Best downfield blocking RB I have very seen. Our first TD against OU in 2003 BCS game was 100% Addai….

Ha I almost listed green and Henderson as my favorite RB/WR but they morphed into bad arse WR onlys.

I will always remember Greene and Webster vs Georgia.... One of my favorite games ever and game was full of some of my all time favorite lsu players

Crazy about how Saban used to get talents were it needed to be. Corey Webster was a WR, devery Henderson was a RB, Skylar Greene was a RB.

He found a way to get the dudes to be in beat position to help the team and it translated to what's best for him.

I hope Kelly gets back to this giving dudes a shot at the position they want. Then after season or when enough is enough have a sit down and help them get in a better position to Excell at another position. That's gonna be hard now with the transfer portal.

Oh after looking all over the internet for the addai run I'm talking about I hope it's as good as I remember it. Lol I can't find it. But I narrowed that run down to 3rd quarter when LSU had the ball at 6:35 on their own 7 yard line and addai ran it to the 12. That was all he got all game.

If someone can find a full game highlight of the 02 VT game lemme no I 2anna watch it.

Sorry, not trying to come across as an arse. Good thread brought back a lot of good memories. Addai was a hell of a back for LSU and had real good NFL career. I was glad to see him go to Indy because I liked them and pulled for their team.

I heard later during Addai’s pro career that he and Saban did not get along. Don’t know what it was about but that it was well known that they seldom spoke and Saban was not helpful to getting him a pro job.
I remember how he would almost always hesitate at the line till a hole opened. If he met a LB with even only two steps he hit like a truck. Much underrated here and in the pro’s.

First college football game I ever went to was LSU vs Miami in CFA Peach Bowl and I swear every play was him running the ball. Went to LSU because of that game.
