Check out some of the threads with his videos from the spring games he played in. Reads his progressions well ..doesn’t force anything ..makes good decisions and delivers the ball with accuracy. Can even scoot around and pick up a few yards if need be.

Well, it should tell you all you need to know that we have been courting him all last weekend to play right away for LSU. Apparently, the staff thinks he is better than what we have now come September.

We thought Brennan would have been ready to roll thus spring with a year studying beside Etling. Didn’t work out. He needs time. I would rather McMillan compete against a guy that can legitimately start for our team this year and may the best man win. Narcisse and Brennan aren’t showing that right now or we would not have been looking around.

Brennan and McMillan are too light and skinny to absord SEC caliber defensive blows

So, I guess we have given up on the 2 studs who were battling it out this spring.

Studs? Cmon.

Will Joe Burrow get a grace period to adjust to a new system and chemistry with team?

It's a spring game. He has thrown for just over 300 yards in his entire career during game action. Hardly the reason to be a supremely confident as everyone seems.

I'm skeptical that most have already crowned him the king before he's even thrown the first pass for LSU. Let's see the kid play before we build this up too much. I am thrilled that he is coming here, I just want to see him play before I cut back flips

I agree with you that spring games are hard to evaluate how good a guy is going to be but it’s all we have to go on. There is a reason the staff has been recruiting this kid hard. He is better than what we have.

Anyone with a lick of sense that has seen Brennan play lately would know why the staff wants to stick him on the shelf for a few years & dive into free agency for a quarterback.

I’m with ya on that. It’s so huge to get a highly recruited guy like this for two years given fact that we didn’t sign anyone yet in recruiting. This is just what we needed at exactly the right time. I don’t want to go 6-6 this year.

Sure, Burrows could be a Danny Etling type player but his ceiling is way higher than that and we haven’t had that high of a ceiling at QB since Mettenberger. At the very worst, we will get better competition between Burrows McMillan, and Brennan which will bring out the best in all three.
