This right here. Look at the excitement, momentum and energy surrounding the program right now. You can’t buy this kind of publicity, but you can keep it going by keeping the guys running it in place and happy. Pay everyone what they need to be paid to stay and keep on raking in far more than that thanks to their efforts.

It wouldn’t surprise me if that $1.8 number has a lot of bonuses or performance incentives tied to it. However, do any of you think Brady isn’t worth it. Some of you are really penny-wise and pound fricking foolish.

O was asked point blank about this today on Playbook. He said that E calls most of the plays and Brady sometimes takes over on 3rd down and sometimes in the red zone.

Way off!! Totally wrong. ED mentioned early in the season, that Brady calls all the plays and Steve E oversees them.. If Steve thinks he has another play, they go with it. So Steve is still the "Acting OC" , but Brady is calling 90% of the plays every game.
Coach O is not going to make Steve look inept , Steve is a good OC, and deserves respect from Coach O.

Steve will go back to Tight ends coach after this season, That's if he wants too. He may want to retire and just relax.

Yeah, what we witnessed this year with Steve Ensminger is something that we only would've gotten with a true Tiger through and through. How many other men would have been willing to put their egos aside and hand over so much control and responsibility to someone like Brady? I mean, how many people at any job are willing to train their replacement?

This is very true. We’ve all see this situation spin off the rails and turn into a train wreck. It’s hard to make Co-coordinator positions and coach-in-waiting situations work, so we all owe Steve some thanks and gratitude for handling this situation the way he has. As much grief as many of us, myself included, gave him, I am hoping he goes out a hero on the heels of winning a title.

Absolutely. They have about destroyed that program. Talk up here they wanted to go after Brady. It’s too damn funny to contemplate. Hope we put 60 on them. They are insufferable when the luck up and win. It’s as quiet as crickets up here last few years. Good times!

450K per year is not going to keep him here for four years.

Allow me to officially silence this noise: Joe Brady’s initial preseason deal (signed this past February) saw annual incremental salary increases culminating in $460k for the final year of the contract (2021).

If they were renegotiating with him at 450k annually — that would be a pay cut . Literally just google Joe Brady LSU contract and the info will come up within google like Wikipedia results do (without forcing you to click an external link).

My money is on a million-dollar per year contract comparable to Aranda, so 1.8/yr sounds about right.

You don’t install an offense like that and not understand how the plays should be called. Granted, he doesn’t have the play calling experience of Steve Ensminger; however, he’ll have this entire year with Ensminger as his mentor. Brady May understand that he does not have the experience he needs and has made it clear he will stay if allowed to stay in the same capacity until Ensminger leaves, I’m speculating. If true, obviously he and LSU have some sort of deal. I suspect it’s OC in waiting based on continued success at developing young new QB’s next year. Brady won’t be here long if $450K doesn’t have some deal attached to it. $1.8M is a lot for a coach of less than 1 year.

Guess who all was with the team last season.

Guess what addition was with the team starting this season.

Compare the two seasons: where we were and where we are now.

Pay the man. And whatever he's paid, he's worth every penny--experience be damned.

You’re the reason we can’t have nice things. Luckily the AD isn’t as stupid as you are.
