Joe Brady made an off-hand comment that #LSU won’t be huddling this season.

Was part of a larger answer about how Joe Burrow is everything he looks for in a quarterback.

quote:

Steve Ensminger: “I have no ego.” Says he gave Joe Brady freedom to experiment with whatever he wanted during spring. If they liked it, it stayed in the offense. #LSU

quote:

Joe Brady, Mickey Joseph and Tommy Moffitt have worked together on a plan to get the receivers in better shape ahead of becoming more up-tempo offense

quote:

Terrace Marshall has taken the biggest leap since last season, according to Mickey Joseph. He’s now 100 percent healthy, meaning he’s got his speed back to be a deep ball threat #LSU

Would have preferred this being discovered week one against Georgia Southern as opposed to late June.

If you’re gonna bitch about it now, you’d bitch about it then.

Funny that when Matt Canada wanted to do this Coach O pitched a fit and shut it down.

Not a fan of this. Going no huddle is fine at times but doing it constantly is gimmicky and inevitably results in some degree of meerkat.

It’s not about bitching about it. It’s the fact that Texas will be able to work on it all fall camp as opposed to a week before the game.

It’s really nbd but all things being equal I’d rather it kept under wraps.

I really like this move. Get the guys in shape. Up tempo works great if exucuted well. I remember the UGA game how good we looked on offense with more of an up tempo look. Really excited to see the offense, and hopefully we are making vast improvements. I think Marshall is going to be a stud

Not necessarily... Quick 3 and outs can run your defense down.

He may be referring to calling plays at the line and not a hurry up which would be different.

3 and outs, period, run a defense down.

This is true, but not all 3-and-outs are created equal. 3-and-outs that run 15 seconds off the clock may mean your defense is on the field for 90 plays.

3-and-outs than run 2 1/2 minutes off the clock may mean your defense is on the field for 70 plays. Those last 20 plays is where fatigue will really show.

That being said, you're right. Too many 3-and-outs are not good for the defense. Period.

And they gave up how many points per game?

No huddle is good at times, like to try and catch them in personnel issues, keeping them off balance and such. But controlling the game, being physical, controlling the clock, is also important, as it creates an opportunity for your defense to be dominant.

No huddle, up tempo all game? Not what I'd like our offense to look like.

This is how you beat Alabama. Look for bitch arse Saban to start complaining about HUNH offenses this August to prepare his fanbase for the loss.

If Burrow posts the second highest passer efficiency rating ever like Kyler Murray then I think we'll be just fine.

Cody Worsham has the best collection of quotes I've seen so far, for anyone interested.
