F King Alexander and then Gov Jindal's appointed LSU board of Supervisors are to blame for this fiasco. They hired Alleva knowing full well his role in the aftermath of the Duke Lacrosse scandal. Alleva never was a real AD with Coach K at Duke. Coach K did and got what he wanted at Duke, and still does. It's time to fire Alexander, Alleva, and for JBE to completely remove any remaining BOS appointees made by Jindal.

Actually, JBE appointed the current Chair and several of the members. Also, JBE's board renewed Alexander's contract. Jindal isn't blameless, but neither is JBE.

JBE is changing Jindal's appointees on the BOS as their terms come to an end.

What type of AD lets the dorks at the compliance department tell him how to do his job? Should be the other way around.

Agreed. There seems to be a lot of misleading information circulating around the internet that this administration is all Jindal's fault. He certainly was largely responsible for putting it together but, as you pointed out, JBE has simply backed up those decisions, or even added to the problem.

We need new leadership straight from the top, in the Governors office, and down through every chain of command at LSU. A complete white washing.

Maybe then, if Wade is still here, he'll want to stay, and the boosters will finally have an administration to get behind and start putting out for top coaches in other sports, that Alexander and company have been so incredibly reluctant to pursue. Not to mention not a lot of top coaching candidates have even been interested in coming here because of the reputations of Alleva and Alexander.

I find it interesting and a little bit ironic that there are so many attorneys on the BOS and that the BOS is the reason why Will Wade was suspended.

I don't believe this for one second. If he was so powerless, why was he allowed to hire Orgeron?

I think Joe is simply using the BR media to deflect blame to compliance and the Board to save his own arse.

The kind that’s told to keep his mouth shut & do as told or he will be out of a job

He hired Orgeron, because Alexander, just as he's doing now, caved to media pressure, with all of the Miles sympathizers gasping that LSU would have the audacity to fire their "winningest coach ever", and then Alleva got totally played by Texas with the Herman negotiations. Because they wasted so much time chasing Herman down a rabbit hole, they were left with no one. That's why Alleva was "allowed" to hire Orgeron.

But they didn't need to give him anywhere near the kind of money, nor the amount of years they gave him on his deal, considering Orgeron had no leverage. No one wanted to hire him. Not even Syracuse.

The fact that Alleva isn't calling all of the shots does not absolve him of blame. If he had any integrity, he'd stand up to the people over him and say "no, this isn't the right move. You wanna fire me? Go head, but I'm not dragging my reputation through the mud for you". We all know what he did at Duke. He doesn't have near that kind of integrity, and probably has none.

Dude really? The AD does have some power as far as hiring and such but even that he doesn't have full control of. What very few of them have is true overall control of athletics. They are puppets to the higher ups! I hate Alleva, but y'all are kidding yourselves if you think he is nothing more than a puppet with his strings being pulled by the puppet masters!

The BOS is not why Will Wade was suspended.
