Our QB play was pretty bad throughout the year regardless of who was in the game. Hatch is limited on talent. JJ and JL just need more experience. I would like to actually win a game under JJ before we crown him. The qb position will be completely open going into the spring, with 4-5 guys having an opportunity. Frankly, this is the way it should be since none of the current guys have done enough to be come in as the leader. Then again, none of them have done anything to be eliminated from contention either.

Kid really lost confidence (note: Fans Booing really helps that too, but hey they bought their tickets so it's their right to boo a kid). He was so damn screwed mentally that he had no confidence everytime he released the ball.

Hopefully he'll get his confidence back, because early on he really looked good for a RS Frosh. If he sticks around, an can forget about this year mentally, I think he'll still be a factor. Especially with the other 2 QB's you'd expect to be a factor being Run First threats.

Please...please people...let JJ win one game...any game..before you anoint him. The kid shows some promise but he has yet to win even one game and has been shut down for looong periods after defenses adjust to what he can do...there is much more to being a successful QB than just looking "smooth" and "not throwing pick 6's". You have to actually win a game. Right now JJ just looks good losing. Can he develop? Can he become really good. Can he possibly win many games here? Of course. If he does, I'll be extremely happy. But some of you are totally unobjective on this subject. You can't see past the int's to see the W's and really, really good drives and nice plays that JL has made. He actually has some W's. Keep it real.

At least try to be a little more accurate in your posts

Lee played in only 11 games. We'll throw out Div II App St for balance. Therefore, in his first 5 games the opposing teams had a record of (29-31). The last 5 games were against teams that were (39-23). First 5 teams, 2 going to boals. Last 5 teams, 4 going to bowls.

Notice the difference?

And his stats were in games #1-5, 78-131 845 6,5; QB rating 121.2

in games #6-10, 59-128 832 6,10; QB rating 100.54

Speaks more to the quality of the opponent than to a QB getting worse.

figured him out?? the coaches closed the play book on him.....thats a weak argument...if he learns all the play book, he will be fine

Can't really compare the two. JL has way more practice time and game experience. That being said, I think JJ has performed at least as well JL, if not better with far less rep's with the one's and game experience. Remember, JJ is a ture Forsh. Picture JL playing as a true Frosh! I would not even want to imagine what JL would have looked like on the field with the same practice time and experience JJ had when he started. It would terrible.

with this logic let me ask you something....

2007 here was the qb pecking order
MF
RP
AH
JL

2008 qb pecking order
AH
JL
JJ

AH gets hurt the 3rd game of the season. which moves JJ to second string.... so JJ is getting second string snaps 3 games into his true fresh yr plus the prev spring....

meanwhile in 07, JL ALWAYS got 4th string snaps, so im trying to fiugre out where all this "way more practice time and game exp" comes into play.??

I don't care if someone disagress with me on this qb issue, I just want the debate to be factual and relevant.

They didn't close the playbook vs. Ole Miss. OM, which has a defense light years better than Ark., simply adjusted to JJ and held us to 32 yards the last 20 plays. I say both guys need to, and will grow and mature.

Say what you want about the statistics. JJ brings smart play and the will of his team mates. JL blew it for us way too many times. JJ is the way of the future. If you truly believe in JL, then we'll continue to have shitty seasons. The coaching, players and more importantly, fans, believe in JJ, not JL.
JJ > JL
