JJ just cannot run the offense. He looked totally lost yesterday. Mettenberger is a must for LSU next season, but somehow believe JJ will start over him next year as well.

With a solid QB, LSU could be undefeated this year.

There are more than a handful of players and staff that were much worse than Jefferson yesterday, yet he'll be the one who gets the blame. Then you'll have people who take half his quote out of context and say he has an attitude problem.

This is absolutely correct. I'm pretty sure he wasn't responsible for the blown coverages out there.

time and again these kind of statements from JJ give me a feeling that he is the kind of person not willing to take any responsibilty

That quote is loads better than they were early in the season. He did play a pretty good game. It wasn't perfect and it wasn't enough to win. I read that quote as acknowledging that fact.

No, you are just blind. Anyone who watches any significant amount of football understands that we have an offensive coordinator problem.

What we have is an execution problem.
A qb that can not execute bc he does not know to throw the ball if his primary guy isnt open... hell one of his HiGH SCHOOL frickING TEAMATES that plays for ark said this this week.... what else do you need?

You are the blind one here as 4 months worth of stupid posts prove.
JJ's stats/numbers through 2 years dont lie dude.
Your same old song and dance concerning JJ and GC is old and more importantly just not fricking true.

We need a new coordinator, we need a new QB.

Hopefully both will happen before next season.

So why does the offense still suck when Lee is in the game? Do we just have two QBs who can't execute?

LSU really needs to improve on the o-line. A better line would improve both qb and coordinator.

those numbers that were posted in this thread were earlier were JL's vs tenn.... that was roughly 50-60% of the snaps... offense sucked then?
How about vs fla?

JL shouldnt be a part of this thread bc he doesnt get enough snaps to make a fricking difference.

i could have done without that statement. Let your play do the talking rather than saying that to get the heat off of you.

I know he shouldered some of the blame which is good but i still don't like him saying he played well.

The way they used and abused Lee yesterday angers me no end. How in the world do you have a dude sitting on the bench the last two games and shove him in for one or two series for one or two plays?

I don't know whether Crowton is responsible for destroying a promising QB or not but I just wished Crowton would MOVE ON.

They so totally screwed Lee when he was thrown into the fire as a frosh.

once again,, this has nothing to do with JL.

But its human nature to direct attention away from the real problem... so I get waht you are trying to do.

O line is just the scapegoat. It isn't nearly as bad as it was last year, or as many fans believe it is. Certainly wasn't the main problem yesterday. JJ needs too much time to be an effective QB.

I'll repeat myself. Lee isn't the player his backers think he is. He is not a starting SEC quarterback and would not be one under the best of circumstances.

John Gruden, Guz Malzahn, name your offensive genius couldn't make JJ good.

In fact they would be smart/strong enough to put him on the bench and play/find a real qb. JJ is just not very good...nothing personal, just the truth.

God, I hope something changes by next year with OUR QB SITUATION. J LEE may not be great, but he is 20x's the qb JJ

This post has nthing to do with JL and you guys continually trying to take the heat off of JJ by reverting back to JL used to be funny but its now becoming sad.
