JL appears to play better comin from the sideline. When Hatch was starting JL was OK when he got a chance to watch from the sideline for a few series.

last time i checked JL led the 4 drives that led to 28 points and the comeback.

props to JJ, but let's not overlook JL's performance in the 2nd half.

No, JL did

If JJ started the whole 2nd half, the score would be 41-10 Troy

I am all for giving JJ a shot to play, but Lee won this game for LSU. The brillant thing about letting JJ play so long was it gave Lee time to settle down and relax (hell, Tiger Stadium kept booooing him over and over). It worked great, Lee came back in and played like a cool cat the whole time, leading the Tigers to one of the best wins in Tiger history!

at times this seems true, but when he played well at auburn it was after hatch was outta the game and he didn't have to look over his shoulder.

this is definitely not true. he did fire the team up, but he did not win it. give lee credit. he played a helluva 2nd half. miles even admitted the 1st half was coaching and handcuffing lee

Next time, please chant "JARRETT LEE ! JARRETT LEE" whenever the starting RS frosh QB takes the field please. That's one way we give JL the confidence. Thanks

Should have never had to be a comeback.

That's the bad part about a win like this. The "W" leaves you with a sense of comfort that really shouldn't be there.

Whe JJ was running hard and clapping and getting the offense fired up a bit, that is what indirectly helped the whole team fuel this comeback. It actually made JL get his head out his arse and play ball. JJ could not have made this comeback by himself but the little things.....

Anybody who got a sense of "comfort" from this game should have their head examined, or thought kickoff was at 9pm instead of 7pm and missed the first 2 1/2 quarters.

Anybody that has watched us this season knew that our offense could play great football, and could also be the Keystone Kops of the gridiron. The most frustrating thing was how our defense just totally shut down a wide open spread passing offense for a quarter and a half, but only after being gashed for 31 points by a Sunbelt team. How can a defense that shuts a team like that down for a quarter and a half be so useless against that offense every other quarter of the season they've faced it?

Yeah, I'm noticing that he ALWAYS takes up for this kid. JL's mistakes or bad play is always because of coaching where they don't play to his strengths or something like that.

When our defense was giving up 50+ pts, I Miles had no problem with calling out the defense and speaking on their lack of execution. He spoke of how they were playing the right schemes and that the right plays were called but the players were not executing and making plays.

Why not take up for the ENTIRE team the same way. JL has really turned me off to Miles. I was not a BIG fan of him but I ride with whoever is the coach. At the same time, I feel it is unfair to the rest of the team that they are OBVIOUSLY not being given the same margin of error as JL. I don't care what anybody thinks but this is the kind of things that divide teams. D. Byrd I think is an example of this. You will never get me to believe that he is a supporter of JL.

Your post reads like you wish we would have lost. Your crazy dude. That comeback was HUGE, and a great victory for LSU.

Dont you remember what happened to Alabama when they went to Monroe? We've never let them live that down. This would have been worse. By far, worse.

dude, it's his fricking job to take up for his players

would a recruit want to come to a program that hung its players out to dry when they were having a rough time?

Bottom line is JL right now is better than JJ and the coaches are going with the right guy. By an large the fans (including me) wanted to see JJ get a shot. Well now we should all see that Les Miles is standing by Lee because he is LSU's best chance.

We may not have a championship this year but it is not like LSU is having such a terrible year that the coaches just want to write it off to train JJ.

The whole pint that JJ won the game was not to discredit Lee, it was just to make a point about how playing JJ a little may have helped get the ENTIRE LSU team back into gear and firing on all cylinders.

Look - you don't know what goes on out of the public eye. He may be giving the kid hell in face to face meetings.

The facts are that Lee is all we got. Having the head coach dump on him in public certainly does not help him or the team.

I think it is ok for the coach to say something like the "defense didn't play up to their capabilities" because there are lots of other players waiting to take individual defense positions if the starters don't start playing up to their potential.

Now, if there was a reliable QB sitting on the bench and if the coach refused to put him in and still made excuses for pathetic play, then you may have a point.

I think it is obvious Miles does not have that luxury. There is no replacement for Lee. We are stuck with him. Further destroying him is not the way to make him play better against Ol Miss.

Lee is who we got. I would love to see JJ more, but from what I saw last night, he is certainly not the answer to our QB problems for sure.

We are down to a multiple choice question with only two options.

Who do we start as QB?
a Lee
b JJ

Life sucks.
