WTF is so funny about that statement?

Randall was one of the worst passers to start at QB for LSU since...well, ever.

Jefferson has outstanding arm strength and improving mechanics. Jefferson just needs to get his timing down (i.e. release the ball before the receiver breaks) and he will be an elite passer in this league.

No way JJ is a Marcus Randall. I remember Randall, and JJ ain't no Randall.

he has no simularities to Marcus Randall at all as far as Quarterbacking goes. Does he look like Marcus Randall or something like that? As far as Quarterbacking goes, a taller more atheletic Matt Flynn might be a good comparison.

Very much like Randall. Resembles MR more than anyone.

The revisionist history has Flynn as some sort of college Dan Marino who had 2 or 3 interceptions in his entire college career so I guess it would be unfair to compare him to Jefferson.

I agree with this. I think he will. There are people on this board who unfortunately think QB's cannot make any progress and are therefore totally limited to the game at hand.

But SR MR and Soph JJ have eerily similar tendencies in the pocket.

I like Jefferson, but the lack of real improvement between his 2008 and 2009 form is certainly disappointing. Just compare a guy like Jacory Harris to Jefferson, for example.

Why? Both are true sophomores with very similar size.

if something bad happens, he blames it on the OL or WR

harris: 5 TD's, 2 INTS

jefferson: 5 TD's, 1 INT

that's dishonest, but what can you expect from someone who is as dumb as you?

Harris started against Duke, UVA, and Charleston Southern last year before taking over for the last three games. And he threw 4 or 5 passes a game in the rest. It's not a huge difference.

And Miami has played a pretty legit schedule so far. I don't see how that can be argued. And their running backs have worse stats than our guys because they aren't as good.

I think Jefferson definitely gives the best chance to win, but there are certainly young QBs who have done better than him so far.
