I told you where i honestly think he fits in. I think he rides the pine or gets some playing time like Harvin. He'll play a different position before he plays QB for LSU next year. Unless Lee, Hatch, and JJ are all hurt.

Did Stafford have WR's with the hands and attitude issues between Byrd and Lafell?

Our WR's have dropped more balls than Ron Jeremy this year. Really liking what I see from Tolliver though.

Dickson has dropped plenty of balls he should be thrown in this post. I can't see what you like in tolliver he hasn't made an impact all year. Just sayin.

if hatch didnt start this year with as poor as Lee was playing i just dont see him playing at all next year wiith Lee and JJ having a year under thier belt and shep learning the offense

__________
Guys I know alot of you compare Lee to Stafford's freshman year but did Stafford have the WR's, O-Line, RB's and TE that Lee has?
_________

Danny Ware, Moreno, Massequoi. Not a bad group. The point of the comparison is that Lee is only bad in comparison to Russell and Flynn, not in comparison to other freshmen.

_____________
lee is one dimensional.
____________

I don't remember Marino, Wueffel, Aikman, or even Hodson being great runners. Are you saying a pocket passer can't get it done?

To be sure, Lee is not one of those guys yet. That's not the point of the post.

It will be an open competition. I think its obvious to anyone who isn't drinking some of the les miles kool-aid JJ looks better back there. Lee obvisouly knows the offense better so that will work to his advantage. Hatch just doesn't have the skills. He and lee may know the play book but what good does it do if you can't execute it. Throw Sheppard in the mix and it should be interesting.

so in 3.5 - 4 qrters it should be apparent to everyone that is not "drinking some of the LM koolaide" that JJ looks better.

ok dude.

No...smarter means throwing it away rather than throwing it into triple coverage when there's nothing there. It means taking a sack if there's nothing there and the ball can't be thrown away safely. It's about taking what available and living to see another down.

Both of those things Jefferson did with more accumen than Lee has shown thus far this season. This is a separate issue as to how much of Crowton;s play book is available to the offense with JJ under center. The issue you commented on was playing smarter...and he did.

Now...part of that may be because Jefferson has simply played more QB in his lifetime than Lee. Everyone keeps forgetting the whole "Lee only played two years of QB in HS football" stuff. While Jefferson may not be as familiar with Crowton's offense yet, he clearly didn't look lost under center.

I think it's completely possible that he could be.

Or, we may very well be seeing exactly the type of QB Lee is and always will be...a guy who tends to be careless with the ball.

Josh Booty comes to mind for me, and has since the AU game in fact. And I don;t say that as a swear like too many LSU fans do. I liked Josh a lot. But far too often he relied on his big arm and threw the ball off his back foot into bad situations. Sound familiar?

I'm not predicting the future with these two QB's. Lee's glimpes of really good play lead me to think that he CAN be really good. I wouldn;t bet the house on it, but I wouldn't be stunned by that kind of transformation, either.

Russel Shepard will ride the pine next year just like Terrel Pryor did this year at aOSU.
