I get what you are saying and feel the same way, he needs to prove it on the field. What everyone is getting frustrated with you and Roger about is you guys are part of a huge group that incorrectly think JJ got this much praise last year when in fact he did not. You can't find close to this level of praise towards him from a year ago because it wasn't there. I've tried to argue this many times, but it does no good. I don't think anyone is thinking he will now be a Heisman level QB. But it is in fact a good sign when people outside of LSU are giving him props. Hopefully we see it all season.

Links? Outside of a few tards, no one gave him credit. There are a few delusional people though who will believe the sky is green though. JJ was what he was. Nothing more or less.

Last summer. Coming from the Manning camp we all heard how improved he was. All fall we heard this as well.

These people have reading comprehension problems. Those of us capable of reading knew from the quotes it might be a long season.

Could it be that he's been coached up? All of his potential finally to be reached? Why is it bad he's getting praise?

Ok could "against the air" be referencing against the wind? Somebody, anybody? I mean why do most take it as meaning not against a defense? And if you think about it, somebody would have to be stupid to make a back handed comment like that. Against the wind seems more plausible than not against anybody.

It's not "bad" at all. In fact, I think it's pretty neat and I'm happy for the guy. What LSU fan wouldn't be?

It doesn't mean he's gonna be ALL-SEC now, but competing at that camp and getting nice reviews for your effort can't hurt him or LSU...can it?

The watch list for the 2010 Manning Award is out, and three SEC players made the cut -- LSU's Jordan Jefferson, Arkansas' Ryan Mallett and Alabama's Greg McElroy.

There is some stuff in there but I cannot copy/paste it.

Tell me you dont recall Miles praising Jefferson last spring and summer and then during the season saying how well he looked in practice during the week and then coming out and flopping over and over again

Miles praises a lot of shite that doesn't add up, FWIW.

I heard all that on Moscona today, I wish they'd just quit teasing me, and getting my hopes up.

who cares why?

and there was an article stating that JJ has been putting together and organizing the offensive meetings and drills since the coaches have limited contact with the players.

All these guys are speaking of potential. (size, arm, etc) JJ hasnt done much on the field to earn any of the praise.

Should this year look like last, JJ will be a total failure and massive bust to the talking heads. To us, JJ will be JJ.

Here's to hoping they are right (for once).
