When we had a strong armed qb in JR some wanted Flynn because he threw a catchable ball. Glad to see the coaching staff doesn't exhibit such erratic impulsive reactions as some in the fanbase.

The deep incomplete pass thrown to Rueben in the ULL game traveled approx. 55yds. in the air. You can each decide if tat is indicative of a strong arm or not for yourselves.
It looked like it was as far is JJ will be able to throw the ball.
Again he just threw it 50 yds. in the air to TT (incomplete in endzone). It was the throw before the TD score to Lafell.

The illustration of a weak armed qb is Matt Flynn throwing the wounded duck hail mary pass against Arkansas in 2007 that traveled a max 40 yards and was 10 yards short of the endzone. .

The clip that linked earlier shows him throwing from his own 12 yard line to the opponents 25 yard line. That is a 63 yard throw.
I doubt his arm strength has decreased since then.
