Pretty sure it's already been stated that there has been some damage control going on trying to throw people off. Sounds like that's what your booster friend did by telling you what he said.

The unfortunate thing is that this guy said that Les Miles was his friend and is hurt by the people saying that he had a part in getting Les Miles out. He wanted no part in it.
