Anyone else watching these Monday night games and seeing how often the 2017 NFL Coach of the Year is utilizing Canada’s scheme?

“Gimmick offense that will never work in the SEC”
We average 7 ypc last year on the jet sweep. It was an effective weapon, people just didn’t like the way it looked.

You think State and Bama are better defensively than an NFL team? I’m just saying Canada was ahead of the curb in terms of exploiting defenses with a way to get easy yards on early downs...

We actually started to have some success with it at the end of the 2014 season. Scrapping it altogether seems like a typical scorned Meathead O reaction. Would be a nice play for Chase and Giles.

It worked pretty well with Bama opening up the passing game, their defense was sucked in and it allowed LSU's receivers to run free
Issue was Danny couldn't hit the deep passes open all night, it wasn't a bad game plan offensively last year vs Alabama
If Danny hits the receivers open down field last year LSU could have won

Nobody said he invented it, but he did just say they were running his scheme. Every jet sweep isn't a Canada scheme. The play has been around forever.

Here is every snap of the Bama game last year condensed around 30 minutes
The jet sweeps were giving Bama fits at times, the motions in had the safeties so far in that our guys were beating them over the top
I can for once say I was pleased and didn't have much gripe about our offensive game plan. We did utilize short quick passes to Guice, we got our play makers involved.
The team was very well prepared but they just couldn't execute enough offensively unfortunately. Danny missed multiple big gains down field unfortunately. A completion or two changes it all dramatically.
