Not to be too obvious but we have to win the SEC West first. Something that has eluded us for 3 years

It's the year for LSU. Sky is the limit and honestly, not winning the SEC will be a disappointment.

I don't understand this thread title. LSU will win the national championship if another SEC team wins it?

this could be the beginning of multiple years of great success at LSU. let's assume (hey why not?) that some combination of JJ/JL/ZM win the SEC this year and ZM pans out to be an awesome QB that's two more years with him at the helm. i believe AU was a flash in the pan and it will be us vs bama for the next 3 years worth of SEC titles (west will win all of them).

Only thing that kept LSU from it last year was the lack of a passing attack and a couple of defensive meltdowns.

LSU/Bama winner plays Oklahoma for all the marbles imo.

Definitely a possibility. I think even one loss this year will be too much.

I like Jesse Palmer, generally. And not just because of this. He is one of ESPN's better game analysts, IMO.

THe guy said something postive about LSU. Everyone should just shut up.

And after last season I can't honestly see how A SINGLE FRIGGEN PERSON ON THIS FORUM CAN PREDICT THE SEASON. Everyone saying "This game will be tough, this one easier" is ridiculous.

I'm scared of Alafrickingbama and Arkansas the most.

Alabama with no genius QB and Julio jones to serve as decoy for the run game means they will struggle. Breaking in a new QB will be an issue. They lose 3 times next years.

It sounds so simple but never works out the way everyone thinks..

This is true. LSU hasn't won the SECW, SEC, OR the BCSNC since the last time guys like Palmer predicted we would.

Guys, let's get by Bama with no losses and then maybe we can start talking about winning more crystal. Let the talking dogs bark; that's what they do best.

I don't understand the title. Did he say this before the Auburn-Oregon game?

In any event, it is way too early to be talking about NC's. Nice of Palmer to say that though; it shows LSU and Coach Miles are finally getting major Media respect. I would not have predicted Palmer saying that.

Let's take it one game at a time guys. NC's require a measure of God's grace, as Coach Miles said when he won it.

NO! He's saying, IF another SEC team wins it this coming season, it'll be LSU. A lot of people are misunderstanding this thread title.

Any positive statements regarding LSU is a good thing. It still has to be won on the field, but it should help build confidence on the team. More importantly it will help somewhat in recruiting.
