Unfortunately for the morons that live here ..... the NFL (any any capacity) other than being a jersey wearing tool of a fan isn’t in the realistic future.

And Cam Cameron
And Gary Crowton
But that doesn’t mean they ran good offenses.
Damn strong post

Regardless of whether or not they asked, he said that he doesn’t want to do the 15 hour days anymore.
But LSU hired him instead. This makes it sound worse. You know that right?

They should have asked him the same question again 5 minutes later to see if he remembered it being asked

E tried to run an offense like Cam, even said they were taking stuff from 16.

We hired a guy on his way to retirement that didn't want to put in long hours. Yes it matters. The offense needed work, still needs work and these are the types of guys Ed brought in. Dudes that have nothing left to gain and stuck in their ways.
These are the same things Les got railed for, but it's ok for Ed because he's from Louisiana.

Yet you can't explain this to certain posters who don't even know what they are looking at when watching games.

So the people that stated this was nothing more than Miles/cam offense ran out of a shotgun base set were right?
Same philosophy
Same Passing Tree

I laughed when in one breath he talks about using the wr more, strength of the team, but then goes on to say we will run 21 personnel just like Cam. Either with two tes or a fb. Leaving less wrs out there.

LSU ran plays out of the shotgun 50% of the time in cams last full season.

This fricking staff. I swear to god. The next one will bring back Miles’ quote about attacking a defense’s strengths.

Yeah, the Rams use this because they have the best running back in the NFL. We had two guys who will struggle to make a roster. What happened to shaping the offense to the players?
Just as a point....the Rams actually have the best run-blocking o-line in the NFL. Gurley is good, but wouldn't be Gurley without that line. C.J. Anderson, a middle of the road veteran looked like Herschel Walker in the 2 games he replaced Gurley...amassing equal if not better numbers than Gurley. Just pointing this out. Carry on.

I hated how often we used PA
I would much prefer a college offense get in a dink and dunk rhythm.

Quick while you have all of this football knowledge run down to the football operations building and tell them this hot take so they can implement the slackster offense over the offseason. You need to tell them now so they will have time.
You act like teams across the country aren't running spread based offenses.

Play action still has it's uses.
After listening to the Sullivan interview again something else that stood out was Steve trying to implement more spread concepts and Sullivan acted like he was against it. Were they butting heads? Was it known that he was against spread concepts when he was hired? Did the coaches get blindsided by this and that's why he's stepping down? Just some stuff I'm wondering about. Why hire him if you know going in his position. I think that O and Steve know what they want and it doesn't totally abandon pro concepts.
