Don't
Block

I don't care about the block but that shite is funny right there
And hell no he doesn't score there. I mean seriously?? There was a ton of traffic there. Pursuit would have gotten him for sure.

Just watching a few Jeremy Hill highlights and ran across this gem from the Alabama game. Hill goes up the middle and bounces to the left into the open field. Beckham runs right by him and goes between 2 Alabama defenders and doesn't block anyone. Maybe he was trying to get out of Hill's way and maybe it wouldn't have mattered.
Do you think that Hill could have scored, or gotten inside the 5 at least if Beckham makes the block on #27? Look at the second part of the highlight in slow motion.

A game of inches ...
On the second angle it looks like if he had taken 27 then Hill possibly races somewhere inside the ten and taking out one blocker would have probably given Hill the choice of going to the sideline and stiff arming his way to pay dirt.

Those are my thoughts. Other Alabama defenders would have had an angle on him so I don't know if he scores, but he gets a lot closer. Between this missed block and Copeland's personal foul right after this, that was such a missed opportunity.

I am just going to say it - LSU was better than Bama in that game last year overall. It was stuff like this and bad angles on defense and little things that really hurt us. Of course, that is all part of the game and Alabama was better because they had the higher score at the end, but if anyone thinks that their program is light years ahead of ours, that just isn't true. They are better, but it is very close. They just keep coming out on top.

I remember when Chris Jackson got his shot blocked against Georgia Tech in the NCAA tourney. You think if Shaq sets that pick CJ gets that wide open 3?

I don't care. Why harp on the past? We got beat. Bama was better that day.

Maybe but it would NOT have mattered.. Copeland with the STUPID PF after the play........

Was the flag on Copeland after the play? Looks like he chop blocked during.

No it was AFTER Hill was tackled. I do not mind the passion.. But you gotta pay attention.......... LSU WINS that game with a TD there.................

So what it looks like is that he did two stupid things in one play? Oh well hopefully he learned from that.

IMO FWIW he probably doesn't hit that guy at the bar if Beckam picks up the block

yep. Another TD would have put the game on ice. But Miles had his chances killing drives in the redzone twice by trying to run the ball after Mettenberg had passed the ball all over Bama to get down there.

Will NOT DISAGREE with this............

It looks like he basically ran a pick play but if he had slowed a bit he could've blindsided the hell out of 27. Should've sold out and dove. Still don't think Hill scores but it would've gotten us closer, not that it mattered.

Hills quick change of direction caught ODB by surprise, but even with a good block on #27 I don't think Hill gets farther than 2-3 yards inside the 10

He also cost us the Florida game last year as well if you recall.
I'll respectfully disagree. The fumble was forced, and the pass was carried for 56 yards. LSU only had 158 yards passing and 42 yards rushing. Looks like you didn't have much success on the ground or in the air.
Secondly, several plays could have gone either way in the Alabama/LSU game last year. Both teams made bad calls and mistakes. How would you grade LSU's performance that night? Objectively, how would you grade Alabama's? I'd say LSU brought their B+ or A game while Alabama brought their C game.
There's far more to consider besides plays in that game's outcome.

I agree with that. Some of the recent guys like D Byrd, RR, and others just never had that in them
Hope to see landy in that spot to make this work. Landry ain't scared of a hit.

Change of direction got him because he thought he wouldn't have to block anyone anyway. Once the play came his away he avoided contact.

I think Jarvis makes a block, but Hill only gets 5 or so more yards. ODB doesn't need to be our primary blocking WR, he just isn't as physical as Jarvis. Maybe that tips the defense off, but you gotta have your best situational players in when the play calls for it.
