Blue is gonna treat opposing defenses like they're all participants in the gay pride parade.

sure it does. Lack of consent makes it a felony. Consent makes it a misdemeanor. good call though
You a lawyer?
Guessing you're not. If you were, you'd know that a minor is incapable of consenting to sex with an adult as a matter of law.
What affects the felony and misdemeanor designation is the age difference between the parties.

he would serve out the 6 months in jail.
Court doesn't have to give credit for time served so he could be given the full length of original sentence. Up to the judge basically, but it is likely they would give him just the remainder unless the judge wants to prove a point

I know not in the eyes of the law but in the eyes of the people that viewed the tape it was very obvious it was consensual.

Geez, give it a damn rest.
Spin it any way you want but when you're done tearing the kid down, he's still on probation, he has had restrictions placed on that probation prior to him being formally charged with simple battery (a misdemeanor).
Provided he abides by those restrictions along with his earlier probation conditions, which he has, he will be good to go, IMO.
I'm stunned at how many want to just dump on the kid and don't want to look back when they were that age and pretend they didn't do anything wrong. Ever.

Eh, none of us had the privilege of being a highly touted athlete as he is. Whether you agree or not, he's close to losing all of it.
He was given a solid chance after strike one, and probably will be after strike two. He better lock his arse away for the next 6 months or so. I don't think he's a thug or necessarily a bad person but he's got to be more careful for someone in his position.
I was involved in a fight following an arrest for an alcohol related offense years ago (and it was self defense, they just said I went too far) and the the judge ripped e a new one in court. They did make me serve time.

And I understand that. He is close to losing it, I agree.
But as of present time, he hasn't so dumping on him because he screwed up, and has gone to court for that, just for the heck of it is pretty small minded. (not saying you are doing that. but there are a few)
Right now the kid has kept his nose clean. That's the point I'm trying to make.

Yes he does. One more and he's in deep shite. I'm hoping he can pull it off, but if he don't, LSU is still in good hands with the current backfield.

I don't think anyone disagrees with that.
