Kinda like how Brett Favre is responsible for a decade long tailspin for LSU football?

Alleva hears Texas wants Maneri, throws undeserved money at him, lets Cannizaro go. So nope, no impact on baseball problems.

He got a head coaching job at Mississippi State after being in college baseball coaching for 3 seasons....

I hope you aren't suggesting that we should have replaced PM with him....

I am saying you tell Maneri, you want to coach at Texas cool. No way in hell we are paying you more with a lack of results. Promote Cannizaro if Maneri left.

First off, it is Mainieri

Second, LSU baseball should never, under any circumstances, be hiring a coach with the resume of Cannizaro.

He had 2 seasons as LSU's hitting coach. We're not a program that should be having to experiment with hires like that. Bring in a proven commodity

Wait, you promote someone on the staff that had the lack of results?

This is a bit off topic, but this was Maineiri's move with Tejas in the offseason...

Seriously, technique like that is HOF-level.

If only his coaching was as good as his off-season maneuvering.

When rumor about Texas being interested in PM. My first reaction: no way it's true. We can only wish.
Then we freaking extend him and give a raise.

So many amazing coaches we could have. Instead is the same old CPM show. Tries a bunch of stuff and when it works he's a genius. Fact is, we need a motivator. It was CAC that met with the team outside the dugout when it was time to rally.

CPM just sits there doing jack shite.

Snow Peas panicked over the Les Miles bogus flirtation with Arkansas and dolled out a raise/extension there too. The man is negligence personified.

glad to see you put in the effort to learn how to spell the coach's name correctly

plus...

^^you're a dumb arse. Why the hell would LSU replace the second most winningest coach in LSU baseball history with someone who's had 3 years of experience as only an assistant coach?

Sooo you're telling me multiple SEC championships/National Top 1-8 Seeds in the Tournament/CWS appearances, and a national title since he's been LSU's coach are a lack of results? just wondering....

Irrational and convoluted logic at it's best. You would be highly suitable for a position in the White House

If you think Cannizzaro was even in the discussion to become head coach if CPM you are definitely mistaken. One thing Alleva has proved in every one of his coaching hires is that you have to have head coaching experience on your resume. Like his hires or not that is a good place to start when looking for candidates at a place like LSU.

Who do you go get? It's one thing to fire a coach it's another thing to replace him.
