I like a well run option here and there... Just not every other play, to the short side. Le tthem practice it now.

Its a classic case of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. For whatever reason, we won't tailor our offense to the players abilities. Why Miles insists on this is beyond me.

There is nothing wrong with the short side option if called at the right time and executed properly.

With 3 years of practice I have yet to see JJ (our mobile qb) run it right. It's a very simple play.

Landry and beckham might be playing more than some think.

And yes, the option play has been for the most part a disaster the last three seasons.

I was watching that tricky YouTube video last night, and fricking matt Flynn ran a perfect option as I think I've ever seen. He was really good at it.. JJ is not good at it.

Mett doesn't 240 now. Looks likes he's dropped some weight idk.

We might see him and lee running the option though. Which makes zero sense at all.

Les likes it, therefore they will run it. Part of the reason I hope JJ can stay healthy this year. Because if Lee comes in, it'll be using the Jefferson playbook

And didn't Ford have a couple of long runs and a TD on it last year?

Anthony Johnson still ran with the first team in his place along with Brockers at the other tackle and Sam Montgomery and Ken Adams at the ends.

he got better at it as the yr wore on. his decision making was better, and the pitches weren't as uh, "adventurous" as before.

Arky - nice play (got called back though)

Cotton Bowl - a couple nice options in here

This is the thing about Miles that drives me the craziest.

It seems that every year we hear about the ridiculous amount of talent that LSU has, but the coaching staff seems unwilling or unable to maximize it to its fullest extent.

Just don't run it with Lee and Mett, or to the SHORT SIDE OF THE FIELD

there's nothing wrong with JJ running a short side option. it's not a bad play. i'm not really sure why some fans hate it so much.

because you never run it to the short side when playing X Box...and most people here are excellent X Box coaches
