and it doesn't mean he is guilty because he was arrested.
this
I think our hearts and minds as LSU fans should be thinking along the following lines:
"I hope JJ is innocent, and I hope this rumor is true that all charges have been dropped"
"If he is innocent, we want him re-instated right away so the young man can finish his college career before it's too late to come back this season"
"I hope he can begin practice ASAP, he was our starting QB after all...so that means he is an asset not a liability to this team"
"the whole thing is very unfortunate"
"I hope it gets behind him very soon, and he has a clean slate"
"I hope JJ can help us win a MNC"
I think these should be our thoughts and prayers for JJ and JJ..
of course, he will have to show the coaches he should be the starter... I doubt he would be ready for another 2-3 weeks.
My 2 cents

if the DA does not pursue charges or if the charges are dropped he needs to be welcomed back with apologies.
This actually bothers me more than if he is convicted. Before overacting hear me out...
Who is the kicker then? I am not asking in some sort of conspiracy theorist way. There is video of what appears to be someone kicking someone in the head. If it wasn't JJ then who was it? Why are the players covering for this person? Why is this person playing or on the team while JJ is suspended? I would find this situation more disappointing than if we find out that JJ actually did it.

ok...if charges are dropped how can he be found guilty?
If charges are dropped it DOES NOT MEAN HE IS INNOCENT.
Doesn't. It means charges were dropped. That's it. There are a myriad of reasons why charges are dropped.

not all....just the stupid ones.
you mean, the intelligent ones, that understand even if there is not enough evidence to go to trial, does not mean it didnt happen?

so you're saying that JJ is guilty...no matter what happens...and shouldn't be allowed back
link?
So your saying Mile's new policy should be "Hey, guys come play football for me, if you get in trouble with the law, but there is not enough evidence to convict you, I'm not gonna worry about disciplining you"?
Thats a great example to set.

They can't, they'd be defending Cam Newton if he was at LSU

Do you believe reinstating Jefferson, even if the charges are dropped, will not be a distraction to this team? Yes or no?
maybe...maybe not.
Do you believe that not reinstating JJ, even if the charges are dropped, is the right thing to do?
im not talking about making him the starter, because i don't think he should be...im talking about reinstatement

In the eyes of the law it does.
No it doesn't. It would only mean that there is not enough evidence to proceed with a trail. An acquittal is the only time in the eyes of the law someone is innocent. Not even you are innocent in the eyes of the law regarding any unsolved crime.
People always misstate the "innocent until proven guilty" phrase. It is actually "considered innocent in the eyes of the law until proven guilty."
So many people today actually think if you aren't convicted of a crime that you are innocent of said crime when the two have nothing to do with each other. Oh and sometime people are innocent but found guilty in the eyes of the law.

If Les isn't going to give Mettenberger serious consideration this year, then I hope Jefferson gets reinstated--not because I want him to start, but because we need him and Lee to patch it together. Jefferson is needed against BAama

JJ is currently being disciplined you dumbass
and you're saying "not enough evidence to convict" like you're assuming he's guilty. Maybe he's innocent
