JL has seen his last action at LSU
just stupid
id bet we are going to need him at some point the next few years.
As early as next year.
Jefferson won the starting spot last night, but he is still young and far from being entrenched as our starting QB.

there you go
but me and you know that, explain it to him.
and besides Jefferson only played in 1 regular season game, fulltime.

the same way Matt Flynn lost the Arkansas game last year....
30 points vs Arky this year should have won that game.
IMO JJ's performance in the Peach was at least as impressive as any game under Lee. He protected the ball, which Lee struggles with. He also gave up no TD's to the other team, which Lee is notorious for. . .
JL always seemed to look like a terrified kid on the field, while JJ seemed calm and composed.
We can all analyze this to death, but the bottom line is that JJ is our starter as of right now and, as someone already pointed out, it has absolutely nothing to do with the injury.

The some fans hoping JL transfers will be calling him a coward for leaving if JJ were to get injured next season.

quote:I agree. It is a blessing for our team to have a backup with SEC starting experience. I do think Lee should transfer for HIS sake, but I'm glad he isn't, for LSU's sake. Last February I said Lee will make an excellent backup for our team, and it looks like that will come true.

Says alot about Lee if he does, in fact, stick around.
quote:I don't know how much "say" Lee will have in that discussion, to be honest. Garret and Shep will likely create an impressive competition in the Fall. We have gone from "bone dry" to "chock full" and that is very exciting.

You J.L. numbnuts will never let it go, will you? But thanks for your enlightening discussion on the "inside rules" of football, i.e.
and thanks for the further enlightenment...
You guys will stop at nothing to defend your erroneous pre-conceptions... I honestly sometimes think you are just repeating some poster or friend that you think is cool. Regardeless, it get's old. Your credibility is dead now.

plus JL has the experience factor on JJ and a better arm.

Im not even talking about an offseason competition.
Im talking when next year starts, Jefferson is still young. It's almost guaranteed he'll have his ups and downs and that we will need another QB to help pick up the slack. Likely Lee. Garrett will redshirt. Shepard isnt there was a passer yet.

they don't know that, they don't think like that, they have seen him play against Ga. Tech and think he is the next god, they know nothing about highs and lows.

quote:But it is important to note that Jefferson has been playing QB longer than Lee. I think that is why Lee always looks so scared out on the field, and why JJ does not.

I think he is the best QB on our roster, sure, but not the best QB ever. Your use of hyperbole in describing people who are happy about Jefferson's performance robs you of credibility. You come across as "sour grapes" and it is childish and sad.

I've read your posts on the subject and you have the sports acumen of a flea, to say Lee(who has played bigtime Texas HS football and practically played a whole season for LSU) is less experienced than J Jefferson is absurd.

No, this does:

That is what we, in the business, call a fact.

Nevermind, according to Wiki, he started his soph year at another school. Either wiki or that video is wrong.
If I'm wrong here, I apologize.
