Do any of you really believe it's an open competition in the fall? JJ IS the starter hands down. I don't get why y'all are so pissed.

It's called confidence. He's confident that he's going to perform well enough to solidify his role as starter and I like that. He could have been more humble, sure, but Jefferson needs some "swagger". It's time for him to come out swinging imo.
The hate on here is absolutely ludicrous. Experts and former players are singing his praises of his improvements and all people want to do is laugh at them or dismiss them.

The ONLY reason Miles never fully benched his baby last year is he knew that JJ would immediately quit the team.

I dont believe anyone including JJ based on his previous quote about being here 3 years and that giving him the advantage believe it was an open competition in the spring or will be in the fall.
So why did JJ feel the need to be quoted on something everyone knew? Was he trying to rub it in Mett's face? Mature leader and all!
