But but if the receivers woul catch every ball that came within 5 feet of them then he would be a top 5 qb in the country
That's what alot of the retards like to say. If he is a good qb then drops really aren't a very big deal, they happen.

These people blaming solely Crowton and not putting any blame on Jefferson baffle my mind. REALLY believe we havent had a single WR go downfield the last 2 games? REALLY?
I'm not happy with Crowton as much as the next person but people putting ZERO blame on Jefferson aren't watching the games. You really think our offense wouldn't improve with a Top 15/20 QB?

It could be worse, unfortunately...

Jefferson is certainly not flawless. But, again, this par for the course with Crowton. He's taken good to great offenses and has completely destroyed them in a few years time. On top of that, he's accomplished this with some pretty QBs at the helm.
I think Jefferson plays fairly well for the offense we run. The offense we run just happens to be terribly ineffective.

What's downfield?
Jefferson had four completions over 15 yards last night (15, 18, 18, and 21). He hit Shepard in the hands on two longer passes as well that were simply dropped.
When you only attempt 16 passes, you aren't going to have a ton of yards.

It's a fathead.
I painted 12 on the side.
Get it right.

Man I fricking hate this garbage scheme after watching other teams play.
Yet according to you and your special TV, JJ can't make his progressions and fixates on one receiver, while Randle is streaking unmolested down the sideline.

The problem is not JJ, overall he’s done his job
He is part of the equation. Part of the reason the offense is so conservative is that LSU hasn't developed a QB that can run anything else.

...and why put the ball in the air when your defense is holding the opponent to one score?
Uhm…now this probably never occurred to you, but how do you know the defense will be able to hold them for the entire game? Shouldn’t you run up the score until you have a comfortable lead? And why is less than 300 yards of total offense satisfactory to you and with 4 and 5 star players? According to you, is less than 300 yards a game going to make us move up in the BCS rankings?

THIS IS CROWTON'S OFFENSE.
Guys, it isn't some huge mystery as to why are offensive production is down.

Wouldn't call the QB play poor, just very very average at best. Don't think the staff has confidence in either QB to open up a passing attack.

Go to the dial and set it to 2006 and look for Dennis Dixon (hint: He's #70)
Now, flip it to 2007, the year after Crowton left Oregon, and see where he is. (Hint: He's #3).
Funny, I don't remember the talk radio airwaves here in Oregon filled with Crowton haters.

All the Oregon fans I talked to last week in Nashville were pretty excited that he was coaching for us and not them.

Do you know were he got that Offense from?
He bought it from Larry Dautrieve. True
His entire play book. That what he says anyway.
