I think he is better throwing.

Needs to improve his ability to read defenses and find the #2 and #3 options. Currently he's a 1 read and run QB, he's got a unique skill set that can be deadly. I'm hoping he continues to get better.

I think Daniels looks better throwing the ball. Hurts was good but he never seemed natural throwing the ball.

This is a good play style comp. Both seem to take care of the football, relatively accurate when delivering it, don’t always get to their 2nd or 3rd read in the progression before tucking it and running. Elite runners. Hopefully Daniels continues to improve and our coaching staff plays to his strengths. Pretty clear this is his football team at this point.

If he can lead us to a Natty, I'm all in.

He does need to improve, but he’s also shown that he can do it in his first two games here, especially when he settles into a groove. He’s just not consistent with it and we can’t afford for him to not get into that groove until the late 3rd quarter again. Whether the issue is trusting his reads, not reading quickly enough, getting uncomfortable because of pressure, who knows.

Clearly our best QB. Our backup is an idiot. He really should transfer .imo

1) Calm down. We played Southern last night.
2) He's quick to give up on letting a pay develop and to start running
3) See item number 1 above

I'm not saying he's not going to be a solid QB, but I haven't seen anything that would strongly suggest it yet either. The State game will tell us a bit more.

If we play Southern every week, we might go 11-1

You’re not real clear on the whole “depth” thing are you?

We only have three scholarship quarterbacks on the roster, one is a senior who runs and takes a lot of hits, and you openly call for the backup to leave?

That’s a shite take if I ever saw one.

He's shown he can do it against a prevent defense and Southern. Next week will be a big test.

His comparison always was to RG3 in his prime or Randall Cunningham. There was a reason this guy was mocked as a first round pick until midway through last season. If he gets slightly better at keeping his eyes down field he has more upside then anyone.

So FSU was in prevent from the very beginning of the game?

No it won’t. If he plays well again next week assholes like you will say, “well he has to beat Bama blah blah blah”. A certain section of the fan base already decided nothing he can do will win y’all over.

He doesn’t have the arm. Hurts is a good comparison cause they will hurt you with the legs, won’t kill you with turnovers, but also don’t trust the arm enough to put it into tight window.

You can win with a guy like that if used correctly and surrounded by good players. Problem for Daniels is he’s doing this with a rebuilding program and work in progress o-line.

Give Jalen Hurts this OL and he never would have Daniels numbers.
