Question out of curiosity how long was duggans a college starter for?
ETA I’ll answer that. 3 year college starter. Two shite years then came second in the heisman voting and has his team playing for the playoffs ranked third.

And I will, just remind me you were one of the prophets. And don’t worry, if there’s no reciprocation I won’t hold it against you.

0 starts champ. He didn't get any opportunity to play.

Awe man, already backpedaling and it’s not even crawfish season yet.

I read your post wrong

Ok forget that it’s joe and was the best Qb in lsu history. You’re telling me you want a QB who never starts loses Qb battles to come in and be a starter? Joe was an anomaly that shite probably will never happen again. He was special no doubt. But just doesn’t happen a lot

All anyone has to do is look at our better performances to see the formula. We just didn’t stick to it because that’s not what our OC likes to do.
Yes that was the major issue post-Bama. We regressed in offensive philosophy back to what Denbrock tried early.
quote:
That’s the biggest problem. Denbrock wants to push the ball downfield and JD doesn’t fit the scheme.
The biggest issue is Denbrock wants to be run-first but we don't have a running game without JD. Our RB and IOL talent is lacking.
This is why Nuss will have a rough time next year unless we upgrade RB/IOL in the portal.

Our Oline graded out in the top 8 nationally in every metric outside of sacks. The kicker is we were 8th in time allowed so the sacks weren’t on them. Our backs were productive when given opportunities.

Irrelevant to my point. They'll grade well when JD makes the play or JD takes edge attention away from the RB, opening up lanes for the RB.

Opportunities created by JD

Their grades have nothing to do with JD and we didn’t run near enough zone read action for JD to be the cause of backs being productive because he was poor at reading the play.

Full-time starter?

This kid won't be a full-time starter for no team. A QB that can't read a defense, is hesitant to throw into tight windows, and is VERY slow going through his progressions will NOT be a starter in the NFL.
When I look at QB's currently starting on teams, even the bad QB's in the NFL are better than Daniels. Man, can you imagine him holding onto the ball and eating sacks, refusing to throw to open guys in the NFL? That locker room would be going bananas! His WR's would need to be kept off his azz!
In the NFL, a QB could be the difference in the type of contract money a LOT of guys make on their next contract. Players don't get but to many contracts in the NFL to get the bulk of their money.

He's not an NFL talent, just facts

Can you imagine him checking fronts, making protection checks on blitzes and picking up sight adjustments on option routes mid play? The JD fanboys think real football is Xbox.

So a rookie QB would require a learning curve. Anymore groundbreaking insights?

That's why he ran so poorly this year, right?
