Heard through a friend of the family that this may be a Chris Hilton type situation, where he is officially potentially available every week but not likely for a while.

Jay has made it know loud and clear it’s out of essentially everyone’s hands. If the player is not cleared to play, what is Jay supposed to do about it? They are simply waiting for Guidry to be medically cleared. That’s all they can do.

If it's a bulging disc (as reported by someone) and it required an injection (as reported), it's VERY, VERY possible that this isn't going to resolve itself in the short term...and may even require surgery.

I think a lot of people are responding to the situation as if it's a muscle strain or something. Sometimes it takes a year or two for your body to fix a disc like that and often it doesn't and requires surgery.
