The guys who were coming up at the top of the order are the reason Jay wanted once through the lineup if he was keeping pitches low for ack. The move made sense to me if we weren’t riding ack to fatigue.

Jay wants to win. Just not at the expense of not having his best arms ready for next weekend. Which is absolutely the right way to handle it. It's the exact opposite of a "loser's mentality."

We didn't extend important pitchers yesterday either. We'll still fight hard to win this, we just won't risk arms that are needed next week. It's not like he told guys to strike out on purpose to get it over with. Cheer for the guys who are playing.

But that right there--that injury to Little and the injury to Tennessee's guy in the 1st is the EXACT reason you don't push guys you need in the regional (and hopefully beyond) just to win the SEC Tournament.

Its a week away. They are 20-23 year olds. Man up. I could see if Ackenhaus was struggling but he was cruising. Dumb move.
