There is not a single one of you that would be saying he handled everything perfectly had Arkansas not gifted us the game in the bottom of the 9th.

I don’t know about perfectly, but I would not be criticizing him. If I’m not calling out the coach before the results are in I don’t call him out at all.

So I’m not sure what the big deal is.
I’m good, Jay played it exactly how I wanted him to yesterday.

only point I’m making is OP has 120 upvotes to no downvotes practically and had we not won it on offense in B9 there would be a ton of whiners today like there were in thread I posted yesterday that Jay needed to be “desperate” and throw everyone to avoid a game today. I’m glad we pulled the win off without having to go to those guys.

Then he pulls Noot too soon with the thought process of asking Shores to get us the last 8 outs. Trust me, this was his plan.

Nope. Eyanson was going to pitch the 9th if LSU had the lead

Not quoting all that dumb fricking bullshite you wasted your time posting and the rest of ours reading, but just wanted to underscore just how goddamn motherfricking stupid you are. You know nothing about the game of baseball. But more embarrassingly, you actually think you do. You are an absolute embarrassment to you father and his fathers before him. Your entire house.

The lack of self-awareness that you’re using hindsight, and are basing your opinions on the results instead of the thought process is staggering.

except he had Eyanson warming in the bullpen and has stated that the plan was to use Eyanson in the 9th if we were up 1. So, you're completely wrong.

I didn't want to see Eyanson in a tie game, and neither did Jay.

Bring him in in a tie game in the 9th and who knows how long you will need him for....and if you lose you dont have him today.

I'd have been OK with him pitching the 9rh with a 1 rum lead.

Well, Jay also said that he was planning on going all in and bringing Eyanson in for the top of the 10th if it went to extras tied.

Jay’s arse got a bit lucky tonight though.

Shores was not throwing bad pitches

I agree with that, if anything his pitch selection was too predictable. He went from straight sliders to straight fastball and they timed it up, which was a stark contrast to the way he started with a good mix.
