I had to laugh. Burrow, Jetts, Ja Marr, Terrace et al made Florida look like the 99 DiNardo offense.
In the 90s I was so envious of Spurriers offensive juggernauts at Florida. I never thought LSU would ever have an offensive machine like what we witnessed in 2019.

Those are college football legends. Why get offended?

I think that is a fair comparison. However, Joe is a more athletic QB than Danny

That gators team was freakin legit.
And spurrier was the greatest offensive mind of his generation .
I see no insult there

Didn’t say they weren’t legit. I just don’t think they or that offense was comparable to our 2019 Tigers. That gator team struggled vs Vandy 28-21 and lost to FSU. Even if Wuerffel played the same number of games as Burrow he wouldn’t come close. Same with Anthony and Hilliard. Great players and great, innovative scheme but not on par with this team.

that FUN N GUN offense was great

but i saw an interview with SOS earlier in the year and he said they did not compare to LSU's offense this year.

but similar principles. pass all over the field which opens up run. he had a good run game due to the pass first mentality just like us.

1996 Wuerfel completed 207 of 360 passes for 3,625 yards (an SEC record at the time), 58 percent completion, for 39 touchdowns.

2019 - Joe Burrow 402 of 527 for 5671 yards, 76 percent completion, for 60 touchdowns.

They can compare if they want, but what this LSU team did was on a whole other level.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around this. Those are Madden rookie-level numbers.

UF offense was groundbreaking, nothing like it before. Same goes for 2019 LSU.

I remember watching UF vs FSU that year and thinking that LSU would never be able to compete on that level.

Your right. That offense was better than anything else in football at the time. This offense is better than anything else currently. The game has changed. I think it’s a pretty good companion
