Correct again, but I WAS pointing out that we revere one group of "traitors," so we should be careful about condemning another identical group of "traitors."
Unless, of course, you want to swear your allegiance to the Crown.

I disagree here, Rick.
The issues were the same. Taxation without representation.
And the Unionists knew it. That's why they didn't execute the southern leaders for treason. Their own forefathers had taken up arms against the Brits over essentially the same thing.
If you read their writings, you will see they saw the entire thing as a great tragedy, and wanted reconciliation with their southern brethren.
