JJ couldn't do anything. He was running for his life due to our oline getting owned the entire game. So you think that playing JL, that has the mobility of a statue would have changed anything?
You really are totally clueless.

2008 he threw a total of 7 pick 6. At one point he threw one in six straight games if I recall. He was a disaster waiting to happen.

I watched the replay of Troy game posted in here last week.

They swapped qbs in and out.
It was obvious in that game which qb had more potential.
One guy was making very throw a qb can make on the field.
The other was taking the snap and running around the end. Stuff JV and Hs qbs do.
Without Lees arm in that game LSU gets beat by 4 tds.

I came here for screenshots, but I got my 2011 games mixed up. Oregon was the screenshot thread. we need a TD classic threads board or something.

Screenshots!

Miles legacy:

1. Owned by Saban

2. Says dumb things

3. JL v JJ

(In any order you like)

These are Jordan Jefferson numbers for his entire Junior season and for the UGA and both Bama games his senior year.

What? JJ had a decent career vs bama.

What are you smoking??

JJ numbers for the first game vs Bama.

6/10 for 67 yards. 0 touchdowns.

Is this what you call a decent game??? These stats were for every game for JJ his junior season and the two Bama games plus UGA his senior season. All were very bad.

So you just dont count his 2009 season which is one of the 10 best passing seasons in lsu history?
If you think JJ was bad against bama then you must have thought JLee was dirt against bama.

I know JJ did terrible, but it was the gameplan, not the execution so much. The line couldn't block and no one back there including Tom Brady would have been rocked. It would not have mattered.

I would hope Lee would have looked better in the Troy game. he had played most of the QB snaps all year, and threw like 25-30 passes a game to that point. Jordan had all of 1 attempt. he was a true freshman QB that wasn't an early enrollee, and he'd been the 3rd string QB (ie not getting many practice reps). until Hatch got hurt, there was some talk that they were gonna try to redshirt him (I know he played, but there was talk of an "injury" iirc).

context, people!

(and before you call me a JJ lover, I'm saying this as someone who wanted Lee to take over the QB spot in 2010 when Jordan was sucking and never give it back).

Tigerlee showing his unparalleled football ignorance. Both qbs had there good moments and bad moments . neither were helped by good coaching in their early years at lsu.

2009 JJ showed so much promise

But he just never improved from that season.

I have no problem with JJ getting the nod over Lee after Bama. He earned it with his play in that game and Lee's bad play. Both showed to be capable of running our offense. I do have a problem with not giving Lee a shot after JJ's terrible play (just as bad as Lee vs Bama) against Bama in the NC and UGA in the SECCG

ever heard the saying that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insane peoplerson might would do? Such as flippin a coin and it comes up heads 3 times in a row, you know it will come up heads the 4th time per the insanity definition. Or "step on a crack break your mamas back" is something an insane person would believe.

Lee failed against Bama every time prior that he had faced them so to expect a different result in the championship game is the definition of insanity and against that tough defense combined with his immobility could have resulted in a cracked back or spine as he wasn't the physically most athletic player.

So Jefferson had just won the "game of the century" vs bama a few months earlier in the season so rightly so got the nod and in all likely hood saved Lee from a broken back/neck vs that onslaught that completely overran our o-line that night.

I really wish Miles had started Lee in the second half so we wouldn't have to hear this crap. The end result would have been the same and the second guessers could move on to the next thing. Lee was not the answer. Bama was way more physical than we were and much more dialed in. I blame Okie St for losing to Iowa St and not beating OU by more way before the JL thing. Once Bama got media life support it was over. We had no chance. It was a revenge game for Bama and double jeopardy game for us. Frick anyone who thinks it was fair that we had to win that game twice to be NC and they could go 1-1.
