Very proud of Lee playing tonight. A former Tiger of my favorite school and beloved state. Lived in B.R. 9 years, loved it. Love LSU and Jarrett Lee playing pro ball. Held season tickets for 11 years, until we had to move.

What does a coach want to see? A kid ready to go in, which Lee appeared to be in all those games while every camera man focused on him wondering why the hell he wasn't playing along with 98 percent of people watching the game.
Exactly right, they want to see someone ready to go in. I was at all 5 games and Isaw him standing alone, on the opposite end of the field of the offense for the entire game and nowhere near the staff, the players rotating in, and the play signalers. In short, he was acting exactly like Jefferson did when he got pulled in 2010.
I wish he would have kept the starting job and that he would have at least gotten a few snaps on 1/9, but given what I saw I can understand why he didn't. And all of this revisionist stuff making him, or Jefferson, out to be something better than they actually were is just old and stupid. They were both bad. It isn't an argument about who was better, it's an argument about who was less terrible....and people still can't let it go.

You don't ever go full retard.

Are you so dense that you can't understand why people are having trouble letting it go?
It's not about who's better. People would be saying the same thing about Jefferson had they been in Opposite places.
It's simple logic that if something isn't working you try something else.

or just keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results

Lee still throwing off his back foot
This. He should take boxing lessons and learn to take a punch in the nose. He always plays like he has to get rid of the ball off his back foot.

Jarrett Lee was not "bad" but for one game from 2010-2011. He wasn't perfect, but he was capable. Jarrett knew tat as soon as Jefferson was reinserted as the starter that TE 2 qb's system was over...and he was right. He knew that Miles was going to ride Jefferson until it cost LSU the championship. I promise you that Lee knew exactly where he stood in Les Miles' eyes.

I can understand why. They are just butthurt people who were probably known to be miserable anyway.

what sucks is that a lot of people predicted it, and saw it coming back in october in the kentucky game.

I didn't boo, but I think that a lot of people that did, did so because we all knew that Miles was just waiting for one Jarrett Lee screw up to reinsert Jefferson as the lone qb.

Thats what they did in 2010.
Thats what they did last November against Alabama.
Are you sure they didn't think about trying something else in January, see "something else" standing 50 yards away pouting, and change their mind? I'm not. Maybe they told him ahead of time he would never play again after Alabama, it was a mistake if they did. But he was consistently standing away from everything that was going, sulking on the other end of the field with the walk-ons and backup kickers/snappers.

The tv cameras focused on Lee warming up at one point against Bama. Lee knew well before the game that Miles wouldn't play him. I know everyone laughs at all the conspiracy theories, but there was a meeting with a neutral teammate and Les Miles the week before the game, and Miles told the player to STFU.
