JJ may be the Starter, but you have to admit that for what he has done for the Team this year, and the dedication he has provided, along with his Leadership, If I had a vote, Lee would definitely be the MVP of this season. That is just IMHO.

I would say either QB would be somewhere below 5th in team MVP voting...maybe lower.

And that is EXACTLY why Les Miles didn't want to risk ruining Lee's game/season at Bama or anywhere else because we still need him until this great season is over.....
Les Miles is not the type to discard/damage a player unless is one like Ryan Perillioux. Lee will more than likely still contribute significantly to this season before it is over.
As much as some on this board don't want to agree, LSU needs them both right now to finish this great 2011 run!

There may well come a time in the next two games where we need JL
This isn't last year. I can say without a doubt Miles is thinking we either win or lose with JJ. (Barring injury) if JJ is having a bad game I doubt JL comes in to save him. Jmo.

Lee just cannot get "it" done.
To make this claim you have to blatanty ignore the multiple bail-outs in '10 (UTenn, UF, Bama) and the first eight games of '11 and then make the assumption that JL could not possibly recover vs Bama and be productive. QB's make mistakes and redeem themselves all the time.

I wouldnt say 5th.. but if we win out and JJ continues like he has since he has been starter the qb positon should be considered the mvp with JL and JJ sharing the honor.

Thank you JL for helping The LSU Tigers football team to be as great as it is. GREAT JOB!!!!

JJ does seem to be a bit tougher

geeeeeees

however I dont think it really matters.
IMO as a team we are better than UGA and whoever else we have to play with JJ or JL undercenter.

I AGREE, Lee should still play in games when his passing skills are needed. If we need the runner use JJ. Lee is a better more accurate passer that JJ....

Thats at shame because Lee played very well and LSU won the games with him at QB by double digits. Those games were not against shitty teams . My point is Lee had one game where he struggled and was punished from his starting position. If you watch the arkansas game JJ looked like he struggled the first half but was left in the game to recover and get his shite together. His QB position was never threatened by Lee coming into the game. All this shite about the game still could have been lost if Lee came in is bullshite. Lee is a senior QB and is very capable of playing good enough to beat Arkansas. Lee should have gotten a chance to have real playing time in his last game in tiger stadium

A bit?!! Opposite ends of the toughness spectrum. When Bama hit JL I thought his night was over. It was. JJ can have an 18 wheeler 2" from plowing over him and he'll still deliver. He takes 9 seconds to progress through his reads, but he's tough.

I personally don't get into the QB "controversy" much but do have some thoughts on it. Jefferson was the starter then, the bottom fell out. JL stepped up and did a tremendous job against the opponents he faced. For that, I'm sure Miles and the team is grateful and most fans certainly should be. The kid ain't a quitter, stayed the course and did the job. The reality is though, that Miles is obligated to put his best chance of winning on the field and sometimes, this may not seem "fair". In some matchups, Jefferson brings another dimension to the offense and presents additional problems for defenses to cover. I think about it this way...it's nice to have the option of 2 capable QB's, just think of how many teams have one no better than either of them. I trust Miles to put the man on the field that gives LSU the best chance for a win. Would he like to be able to play them equally? I couldn't say but I suspect he might. Will Lee see much playing time in the NC game? I don't think so based on the Bama game, his style does not match up with their defense as well a what Jefferson brings. Regardless of playing time from here on, I'm betting Lee is the same classy act he's been throughout and will be cheering as loudly as anyone else if LSU wins. He will know and be acknowledged as an important part of the machine that put them in this position. Without him, could not have happened.

JJ had to come out in '09 and '10 vs Bama due to injuries. He does play tough but gets injured just like every other FB player.

Can we just blame the last 3 years of Bad quarterback play on Gary crowton and be done with it. I don't care who taking snaps this year....All LSU do is win win win.

If Lee was going to play during important phases of the game this year, you would've seen it by now during Ole Miss or Arkansas. I think he's the better QB, but Miles isn't letting him back on the field except late in the game.

Lee isn't going to replace Jefferson at any point remaining in the season. 1st half of Arkansas would've been the opportune moment to insert Lee since Jefferson started off slow.

Accept I don't want to except it. Jordan Jefferson runs really well and can throw the ball well accept when he has to check down. Except. Accept.
JL is a better passer.....it's the ONLY thing he's better at.
JJ brings all of the other intagibles needed to win at this level.....and he is the better QB
end of story

We have to totally trust CLM with whatever decision he makes.. but I doubt trying to protect JL's mindset has anything to do with it! JL has shown his mental toughness...
