That play by Jefferson was the inspiration for the Water Boy scene where Bobby throws the ball to the opposing player and then blasts him.

We all do. The real piss poor part of this story is Miles was so ill-prepared, he had no answer when the offense was shut down. What would he have done had Jefferson got hurt in the first series? Also, don't forget he had a month to get ready for that game.

We would not have come out of it any worse. Saban would have shite himself. He knew Miles was a dumbass and would do exactly what he did. Miles made it as easy as taking candy from a baby.

I wish he would have put in Lee not because I think Lee would have made a difference, because he wouldn’t have, but at least we wouldn’t still be asking this question in 2020 with no true answer.

Bottom line is it didn't matter who was behind center. The problem was who was behind the headset.

When he didn't, that's when I turned it off.

The only person who was a disgrace was Miles. Lee may not been able to do any better than Jefferson that night, but he sure as hell couldn’t have done any worse. Without Lee, there’s no way LSU would’ve finished the 2011 season 12-0. He had his flaws, but he was a team player to the very end. He never said a bad word about Miles or LSU, and he deserved better treatment than what he got from Miles.

Did Les ever give a reason as to why he didn’t put Lee in the game?

Yes. He told him to watch film of the first half of their regular season matchup in T-Town.

If I were coach then, I would have gotten Mett ready and surprised many people. That Bama defense ate up Jefferson and would have eaten Lee alive. I think Mett slinging it would have given them a chance. The only way to beat Sabah is to be able to pass across the middle and deep side line routs. IMHO

Les(s) Miles should have been fired after that game in hindsight. He made ZERO adjustments in that championship game!! Saban's D worked on their one weakness in the earlier game (end runs) while Les ran the same damn plays!! Wasted one of the best LSU defenses in our history...

The guy was a head case by that point in the season and wasn’t in a position to play

This would have been our only chance in that game. Jarrett lee played well all year with the exception of the 9-6 game. He had the Brook Trout look after getting hit a few times. They were in his head. It would have happened again in NC game.

It's a pretty simple answer, Jefferson did not give us the best chance to win. In fact, he is the only BCS QB to lead his team to zero points in the entire BCS championship history.

There is no way Lee could have done worse. Zero points would have still been zero points. Not playing Lee was when the Tiger nation began to realize Les would put his personal bias before the team and its fans. And that is why he is no longer employed here.

We lost the championship when Iowa State beat OK State.

Lee wouldn’t have made a difference imho. Alabama had him under their thumb.

I said back then, the only way we were going to beat them was to run the spread with Russel Sheppard. We didn’t, Saban destroyed our shite offensive game plan, and Les was left with his dick in his hand.

We lost that game when Les said “We would be honored to play that team again.”

He should have said “We beat them at their place. Bring on Oklahoma State.”

He didn’t, an arse beating happened, and Les eventually was dismissed.

Time to move on.

Lee got arse blasted by Bama that year

He would’ve had to wear brown pants in this game as scared as he was to get hit.
