Were you at the game?? was it Hatch missing all those wheel routes that were WIDE open? I know this is going to be a knock down fight but I know football and it's not exagerrated Santa

The fact that Lee had better stats in less time than Hatch the first game?

by the time Lee came into the game, it was basically over, so the stats might be exaggerated, plus Lee gets a pass for 1st game jitters, but Hatch doesnt? It sounds like the Rant has already decided who their favorite is for the job. I wish so many on here didn't play favorites just because one was more highly recruited then the other.

You are putting things in my mouth I didn't say. You simply asked why Lee could be projected to have better stats...and having better stats in fewer attempts is a legitimate line of reasoning to believe he will finish with better stats.

He came into the game up 17pts on the 2nd series in the 2nd quarter. App. State still had their starters in and were playing hard...how is the "game basically over" - and even if it was how would that matter given that ASU had not given up until the 4th quarter?

I think Hatch should start because he's more calm and comfortable, but really your rant against the stats is not justifiable.

You don't want Lee starting at Auburn. If you start turning it over at Auburn, you will lose. Go with Hatch, play defense and maybe win.

If we want to turn it ove at AU we'll call SJPW. He's the expert

Or you could start Lee and have the same outcome. And it's easier because he's already on your team.

Hatch could have easily had 2 picks as well.

Agreed, they need to see how JJ looks and hope another game out gets our guys a little more down the road.

If JJ has the best wheels then I think he should start.

Why? Do you think our coaches play the players they think give us the best chances of winning? Why would they make an exception for Andrew Hatch?

I have read posts on this website saying let's forget about this year and use Lee to get ready for next year. Who among those posters will be the one to tell the seniors on the team that we're soory for writing off your senior season, but it's more important for us to get ready for next year. Just how many players do you think will stay at LSU for their senior seasons if they know there is the possibility of the coaches telling them that for the good of the program they are going to play inferior players to give them experience in hopes of having better results in future years?

Our coaches want to win now, and they use the players that they think give them the best chances of winning. The simple fact is that right now Andrew Hatch is the QB they think gives us the best chance of winning games.

+1

Both qbs had their moments. I mean, Lee did at least throw a TD pass. Not to shabby for his first game. Both made mistakes, though. Hatch just looked more poised.

Disagree ... If JJ is the best QB on the team RIGHT NOW, then he should start. Otherwise, he belongs on the sideline, learning the position. LSU has a running game. What we need right now is a passing game to compliment the running game.

Lee certainly liked to lock in on one WR.

Hatch should start and play until the game is out of hand and then be relieved by Jefferson. Lee should wait patiently until 2011 when he will get his chance as a 5th year senior and become a rant legend.
