Today it seemed like the cocksucker behind home plate had a personal vendetta against him.

It’s baseball, hitters have bad series. Shocking, I know.

At this point, he is exactly who he is.

This year he leads the team in Ks in SEC games (43). He has 14 more than Stanfield in 2nd.

The same applied for last year: 42 Ks.

But at the same time he is 3rd in RBI, total bases, and runs scored.

Even Freshman phenom Curiel was only 3 - 13 with 5 Ks

I like using “world hunger” as a verb, I’m gonna start doing that

He watched 3 strike calls in that last AB. I don't get it.

He has a long ways to go to get out of single a ball....maybe better hitting coach idk but he has turned into a liability. I wish they would move him to the 5 hole

I'm more worried about guys like Milam and Larson. Both looked like youngsters who were well on their way to becoming major stars in the program. And while Milam has stuck around for his defense, his bat has still been awful for a long while now. .283 is a far cry from last year's .326 as a freshman. And Ashton Larson simply dropped off the face of the Earth after a solid freshman season and then winning the Chatham Anglers’ Most Outstanding Player in the Cape Cod League, batting .316 with nine doubles, one homer and 18 RBI in 31 games. Then he comes back to school and didn't even look like the same player. Milam, Larson, and Braswell have all regressed sharply at the plate, and they looked like 3 guys who would be the backbone of the team last year.

Strike 3 wasn't a strike.

Milam
Has struggled, but also has the worst BABIP of the regular starters. He's had horrible batted ball luck this year.

Larson
Got injured and then was stuck in a bad spot.

Stanfield is your CF
Curiel pushed to LF because Stanfield in CF
Brown pushed to RF because Curiel in LF and Stanfield in CF
Pearson having a better season
Frey mashing the ball.

He wasn't given as many opportunities this year because we have a very good offensive (and defensive) outfield, and a DH who can rake.

Braswell
Is making much better contact and didn't really turn it on until the post season last year.

Jones changed his approach this year and looks to go the other way much more.

People who weren't at these games will think this is a dumb comment, but he lost out on about 4 HR during the MS State series alone because he hit moonshots to right that got knocked down by the wind.

He's still hitting the ball harder than anyone in America. He had like a 110 mph lineout yesterday. His flyout to right today was smoked.

He has 12 more strikeouts than the next lsu player. He should not be #2 spot.

I’d say the biggest disappointment has been Jones. He’s trying to hit every pitch out of the park. He needs to be moved way down in the lineup.
4 HR in the SEC says he’s over matched. Will he ever be able to hit off speed pitches?
