Howard and JJ both had too much early action. These QBs that get a bunch of playing time as freshmen and sop generally have a hard time turning the ship around.

Keep in mind Hallman was retarded.

After the AU debacle, he felt like jumping off a building. The only LSU coach that reached out to help him was Skip. Skip had the entire baseball team show up at practice to show support and love.

our own POS OC would not even address it.

Spoke with Jamie this week at a function and I always thought his deciding to return for his Sr. year in 1995 instead of pitching for the Braves was the most important move in the revival of LSU football- even bigger than K. Faulk's signing. we had nothing behind him.

Uh....Herb Tyler?

Some of the fans on this site are downright pathetic. You suck as fans and i'm pretty sure you suck as humans too.
Nothing wrong with giving a shout out to a former LSU player(s).
All LSU players are part of LSU and its legacy IMO.

To the OP:

I respect all LSU Tigers

Appreciation? Please.

And your "thoughts" on being more important than KFaulk are just ludicrous.

Howard more important that the all-time leader in total yardage in SEC history

You talkin to me or talkin generally?

Either way....might want to take a look at yourself before telling people you've never even met that they suck as human beings.

Just sayin'.

That's not all the OP was doing. He was trying to rewrite history.

Is he the one that threw all those interceptions across the middle against Auburn to lose that game?....

You said a mouthful there, brother.

Howard had a respectable senior campaign going until his injury. Unlike every Rantard, Jamie Howard ACTUALLY led LSU to victory in football, and it is inarguable he risked (and lost) as significant amount of money for a chance to be part of a winning LSU football team.

I like all of our QBs. I like all of our kids who do the right things and give 100% to LSU. That includes Jamie Howard, Marcus Randall, Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson.

It's nice that you 'like' all LSU QBs...I respect that. I 'like' all LSU players too, as long as they represent the university well and with honor.

But to put Howard on a pedastol ABOVE Kevin Faulk is ludicrulous.

Faulk is one of the best to ever wear the P&G. Howard is one of the ones that wore the P&G.

Even after the death threats, he still is LSU loud and proud. He wasn't a great QB. He played for the most incompetent coach in LSU and maybe SEC history.

Let it go and leave him alone, already.

I did not comment on that portion of the OP's opinion. That is, and will remain, his opinion, not mine.

I take the position that Faulk's decision to attend LSU was THE turning point from the Hallman years to the program we have now. In a similar fashion, Gerry Dinardo should get more credit than he is typically accorded for restoring LSU to national prominence.

I give Jamie Howard some credit for being on the team that "brought back the magic". His redemtion win vs Auburn is what I remember him for.

I blame the interception game on Curley. Should not have even thought about throwing the ball.
