Smart young man to get accepted to a Rice University graduate program.

The transfers are catching up with the early departures. How are we to compete?

Seems like lsu would try to keep him. Wonder why he didn't pursue grad studies here?

He wants to kick field goals rather than just kick offs. Which gives him a chance to show the NFL he is a field goal kicker.

Our current field goal kicker missed only one field goal last year and he was injured when he missed that one. So Hairston knew his chances of field goal kicking at LSU were basically nonexistent.

I think this has more to do with Grad studies than Field goals

Cameron Gamble has a howitzer for a leg. Have no worries. If need be, he can more than fulfill this role. Colby lands at the 5 yard line. Depending on the ability of special teams to get down field, CLM may have Colby KO if he thinks he can pin the opposition back behind the 20 yd line. I am not worried about this loss at all.

Does anyone thinks there's a chance that after Kolby D. is finished kicking for LSU, that Gamble can be developed into the FG kicker?

I recall reading last year when he pledged to LSU, that he was not even the PAT & FG kicker for his high school.

I expect Kyle Pfau to be next in line.

Preferred walk on, FG camp MVP, and built like a safety.

Follow college football much? Obviously not. Grad school is the tool used to transfer and play immediately at another Division 1 school. He could go to graduate school at LSU. In fact, he stated he was transferring for the opportunity to kick field goals.
