Last weekend, we were walking to a bar and JR came up. One of my friends suggested he is probably broke now or will be soon.....and will try to make a comeback.

He's what, 25? And the NFL is a revolving door. Michael Vick went to prison, Russell is an injury away from getting a try out with a team.

It's all on his shoulders right now, and I only wish him the best.

I hope he gets it together. I hate to see any ex-Tiger struggle.

Most talented LSU QB is what I meant by that.

there are many LSU "fans" who just never liked jamarcus, never will like jamarcus, want jamarcus to fail, and always wanted jamarcus to fail

it is what it is

i mean for fricks sake, someone earlier said they would boo him over something he wore...

I never understood it. Despite having the talent to win a NC, 2006 was a fun year to watch even though towards the end it was obvious it was JaMarcus' last.

What? Did he run out of bling money already feeding his codeine habit?

Many is a terrible word choice. You and I both know that those people were in a vocal, yet very small minority.

Also, I do not get this idea that JR should still be supported despite his poor decisions. This board almost unanimously hates Perilloux(sp?), but even though JR has a more serious problem, people act like fans should simply sweep it under the rug. Does JR get some kind of pass because he played a significant amount of snaps for LSU, but RP gets blasted because he got kicked off the team? If JR was doing this stuff at LSU (which could have been the case) and got caught, he would have received the same treatment that RP got. Not sure why the fact that he is no longer here excuses his actions.

All I know is this: playing for the Raiders is a disaster! If JR would have played for a half arse decent team, he probably would never have had troubles as bad as he has had. I know I'm probably just :beatdeadhorse:

Probably because he is the best LSU QB in 20+ years and won a bunch of games, including some incredible comebacks. RP only started 2 games and pretty much killed our '08 season.

I'm really glad to hear he is on his way back. The sky is the limit for him if he can get on even a moderately talented team. Oakland is an NFL wasteland.

He doesn't have more serious problems and Perrilloux fricked over the program.

One negatively affected LSU football one didn't, the difference is pretty obvious.

Getting his life in order is one thing. Getting in football shape and demonstrating a strong desire to remain that way, study film and work on his mechanics is another.

I'm pretty sure BAMA BOY was for the rapper from JR's hometown. Relax.

Poster child for greatest Bust in NFL draft history.

Sad representation of our school.

Maybe he turns it around but history shows that is an extreme exception rather than the rule.

Well I hope he turns it around, I certainly am not pulling against him he is part of LSU. One that shows the double standard in the media with LSU and coach Miles, Mike Williams was just as big a bust but you never heard shite about USC and Carrol not developing players.
