i dont know if we beat auburn, but we definitely had a better chance to beat florida since JR had like 4 fricking turnovers that game

We barely beat a 4 loss Florida team the next year at home.

he had 3. the fumble was on the center

2 of his 3 picks hit bowe IN 2 HANDS

JR was a great college QB. flynn was a mediocre college QB

without a running game and our home schedule, flynn loses 4+ in 2006. he managed to frick up 2 in 2007 with a home schedule and a ton of luck

wrong

2 of his 3 picks hit bowe IN 2 HANDS

also wrong, one of them hit bowe in 1 hand, and would have had LSU inside the 10 yard line ready to score and go down one score.

don't make me rehash this fricking game again.

both of which were on bo pelini's defensive effort

which one was that? the one where bowe caught it IN THE END ZONE with 2 hands, or the one where bowe caught it, double clutched it, and popped it up?

both of which were on bo pelini's defensive effort

flynn was horrible against UK and left 3 TDs on the board in the 1st half against arky

if flynn were good in either game, LSU wins

And the offense failing to put the opponent away. We had 4 possesions in Arky territory against Arky in the 1st half. Flynn was 7-23 in that half. We could have ended that game at halftime.

didn't realize pelini's defense threw the game ending pick against arky on the two pt conversion. wow, guess ill have to rehash that game

worst argument ever

russell = great college qb with amazing talent (yes, throwing the ball 100 yards is the definition of talent)

ESPN speculated the Saints may pick him up as a third stringer.

fify, and yes -- it does.

Talent for the shot put and javelin but not necessarily for football or baseball.

With your definition, Joe Montana must have thrown it two hundred yards.

I think JR did the right thing by holding out his first year. Al Davis didn’t want to pay him market price. JR and / or his agent knew Oakland was a mess and knew he better get his money from the start because an ending something like it played out was very possible. I hope he can get himself in playing shape and get a chance with a better team.

not yet. no better than 4th place at this time.
He may yet learn his trade.

Tony Mandarich, Tim Couch way worse.

Yep, fricked up and won a national championship. Offensive MVP of the only two bowl games that he started including the national championship. Both opponenents were in the top five defensive teams in the nation. That is your definition of mediocre?

I wonder how strong we would have been in 07 if the team had been as healthy as 05 and 06.

JR has had ALOT of problems off the field that made just as much of an impact as playing for my beloved but suck arse Raiders....

He will be fine and on an NFL roster this year.

He needs a team that will allow him to go the Steve McNair route, rather than starting right away like he did.

u still putting that out there, huh? I told you I'd give you Kentucky even though he had a wide open TE drop a sure TD in the endzone that would have put them up big against UK, but to say he played terrible against Arkansas is ridiculous, he scored all over them, it was the LSU Pelini's bend but don't break defense that kept breakin in that game, they couldn't stop McFadden to save their lives.

fail on the first count, the ball was high and behind him, and he wasn't standing in the end zone. isn't youtube great?

second INT was admittedly not his fault.

I just can't believe they are people on here sayin crazy shite like that, it shouldn't have never come to Matt Flynn having convert a 2 pt conversion if LSU's sorry defense had did their jobs in the first place.

that TE was wide open b/c the pass was 10 feet in the air. plus it was keith fricking zinger. hardly our first option

flynn was HORRIBLE against UK

quote:

but to say he played terrible against Arkansas is ridiculous

he was right around 33% completion in the first half and left 3 gimme TDs on the board
